When Gideon caught her, she was going to pay. Big time. He'd received a week's (And one day, to be precise) worth of detention and it was all Marlene's fault. Sure, it had most definitely been him that had been yelling in the corridors how a 'crazed midget with a knife' was trying to kill him, and it was also him that had told dear old Mcgoogles that he wasn't interested in hearing a ten minute lecture about insulting the house elves' feelings when in all actualities Gideon was talking about one Marlene McKinnon. It had also been him that had almost ran over professor Flitwick. But still. The crazy chick had a knife and wanted to kill him. At least she said she did. Clearly Gideon had believed her.
Either way, Gideon clearly wasn't spending his detention times just writing lines. In his mind he had been coming up with multiple ways for revenge and getting sidetracked. This was probably why there were no plans set in stone as of yet. Actually, there were just no plans at all. Finally detention was over, leaving Gideon standing outisde the transfiguration classroom. Now what was he meant to do with the rest of his evening?

Marlene had been avoiding Gideon for two days now. It wasn't that hard, really. The boy was as thick as a bloody brick. Or....something that was really, really thick. She was too tired to think of a good similie today. If Marlene had done her calculations correctly (she probably hadn't) Gideon would be finishing his first detention with Flitwick around now. So she'd taken the long way back to the Gryffindor common room, right through the Transfiguration corridor. It would've been much quicker to go through the Charms corridor, but she really liked living at the moment. She rounded a corner and stopped short. Oh. Shit. So maybe today had been Gideon's first day of detention with McGonagall. Well, either that or he had some other reason for standing in the middle of the transfiguration hallway. Marlene swore under her breath and ducked back behind the corridor. Hmmm. She could take the time to go back the other way. But that'd require going through half the hallways in the school. Damn. Were there any secret passageways in this corridor? No....double damn. She could try and run straight past him. No, Gideon would be able to outrun her in a heart beat. Basicly, she was stuck.

OK- there were little options as to what Gideon could do. If his watch (Well, he'd kinda lost his in the dormitory so today he'd 'borrowed' Fabian's watch) was correct, it was too late to turn up to Dinner. It was too early to sleep and the common room would probably be so packed that the people would be floating out the door in a sea of first years or something along those lines. Yup- Gideon wasn't good at explaining things today.
At the moment there was no particular girl that Gideon felt like stalking talking to... he could always go find Phil or Damocles. Yet they'd be in the library. And therefore no interest to Gideon whatsoever. If things kept up like this, he may as well just continue to lurk in the transfiguration corridor. Up until McGoogles came out and gave him more detention, as well as inquiring if he was stalking her. It wouldn't be the first time.
A short sigh of boredom before turning into the next corridor... and right into Marlene. The look on Gideon's face could only be described as one hell of a mischevious grin. "Well well well. If it isn't the lovely but evil Marlene McKinnon. Long time no see?"

Marlene decided to just take the long way back to the Gryffindor common room. Because, really, what was a ten minute walk? It was better then being attacked by a 6 foot idiot, anyway. She was just about to start walking the other way when Gideon appeared in front of her. God dammit. It then occured to her that she really should've been watching him, and run if he had started coming. Oops. Well, here he was now, in front of her. She had to think fast. There was no way she could run from him. ....Maybe she could talk her way out of it? No, Gideon was pretty stupid, but he wasn't that stupid. He knew her well enough to know she'd probably try and talk her way out of it. Maybe he'd let her go. Hmm. Maybe he wasn't angry. Fat chance. But it was worth a try. "Actually, Gideon," She said, taking a slow step backwards. "It hasn't really been that long." Another step back. "Just two days, really." Two more steps back. "And I'd love to stay and chat, but I told Nex I'd meet her in the Gryffindor common room." Which was a lie, actually. "And I don't want to keep her waiting. I hate to cut our little reunion short. Bye!" Hmmm. Maybe he would let her get a way. She turned around and started to walk away, wondering what he'd do.

"Two days.." A step towards Marlene. " Forty eight hours..." another step. " 2880 minutes..." Gideon could go on like this for ages- he was enjoying himself at least. Sadly that once they passed seconds, Gideon would have to just start making random figures up and hoped Marlene believed him. Ah well- at least Gideon thought he sounded clever.
Gideon smiled. Clearly she wanted to just get away and he could always mess with her another time. "Oh really? I haven't seen Nex in a while either. But if you really have to get away, we can always talk some other time..." he sighed before turning back down the transfiguration corridor. Luckily Gideon managed to stop himself just before walking into professor Mcgonnagal. The look she gave him clearly brought up the whole 'are you stalking me?' problem the two seemed to be having. In all actualities, Gideon was starting to wonder if dear McGoogles was stalking him. It made sense.
Without a word, Gideon turned back down the other corrdior and ran after Marlene. "On second thought, I'll walk you to the common room." He'd have his fun now after all.
ooc//Suckish. Because of so many bloody distractions. -.-

Marlene was running through other excuses in her mind. Ways to get him to leave her alone, ways to ditch him....."Wait, 2880 minutes?" She rasied an eyebrow. "You just made that up, Gideon." She accused him. "I know you. You're not that smart." Haha. She'd managed to get in a sarcastic come back. "Okay..." She said, giving a small wave. As she turned and walked down the hall she started to wonder if he was really just let her go. Knowing Gideon, he'd wait until she thought she was safe and pounce on her from behind or something. A few seconds later she heard footsteps again and was definatly not hapy to see that he'd turned around and was following her again. 'Walk her to the common room.' Yeah, right. She shook her head and smiled. "No thanks, that's fine, Gideon."

"How did you know that I made that up?" Gideon asked suspiciously. Seriously- how well did this girl know him?! Or was he just getting predictable? Either way it was starting to get creepy. Now all he needed was a snappy comeback too. "If I'm not smart, how did I manage to get into Ravenclaw?Hmmm?" Oooh- bad move. That could easily be responded with 'the hat made a mistake or was drunk/high/bribed'. Or She could easily use the 'Same reason that our dear Philip got in there' excuse. He truly could have done so much better.
"Too bad. You have two choices - I either walk you to the common room or stalk you there. It's your choice entirely. Yet I promise you that I'll be loads less annoying if you go for the first choice." Yes people- this is one more level that we now know Gideon will sink to. You all saw it here first.
