History:
Bailey was born a normal baby on August fourth along with her twin sister Veronica. Bailey never had any learning disabilities or the like growing up, but Veronica, or Ronnie as young Bailey would call her, was the more quieter baby. Ronnie rarely cried. Bailey on the other hand, needed- or more like wanted- much attention. Their mother always grew frustrated with Bailey and continuously praised Veronica. However, their father loved both his daughters, nevertheless. Bailey had grown quite fond and attached to her father. As the toddlers grew, Veronica turned out to be the more mature one and Bailey the happy-go-lucky type. Not that Bailey was immature, just.. mischievous. She was the one who received scolding. The two sisters’ relationship was close, despite their differences. They especially became closer at their age of ten. Their age when their parents divorced. The twins have always witnessed arguments and fights between their parents, but they had never expected this. It was very difficult on them, especially Bailey, who was the closest to her father, closer to him than Ronnie was. Bailey spent days, which turned into weeks, which turned into months, crying for her father. He had moved out to a nearby city and the twins only got to visit him twice a year. Bailey tried and still tries to take her mind off of it by joking around. When the twins’ Hogwarts letters arrived, they were both equally excited, however what they did not know was that it was the first step in their relationships’ change. Veronica soon made many friends, especially with the popular kids, while Bailey just a few. Ryan Marcoux in particular. They met after they were sorted into Hufflepuff at their house’s table in the Great Hall in their first year and became close friends. While Ronnie sat at the Ravenclaw table.

There were only a handful of us now. The surnames beginning with 'W' were here before I knew it. Nervousness, a bit of fright, and excitement spread through me. My small, delicate palms began to perspire
and I wiped them on my newly tailored uniform robes, pretending to smoothen out creases. The other first years who were waiting to be sorted seemed calmer to me. I turned my head to the Gryffindor table. They seemed like a cheerful group. Much too cheerful for me, perhaps with proudness smeared all over their gleaming faces. Then, I gazed towards the Badgers' table. Quite opposite, if you asked me. Humbleness is what I received from many of their bashful looks. They were much quieter, also. A lifestyle I preferred and wanted. As the sorting hat exclaimed, "Ravenclaw!" for a student, I followed her with my eyes to the blue and bronze decorated table she sat at. Like the Hufflepuffs, they were quiet, but instead of shyness, nobleness emitted from them. Lastly, I turned my attention to the Slytherin table. Everything about them said 'prestigious', 'elegant', and 'superior'. Their cleanliness, posture, looks...
"Weasley, Cassandra," a bored voice echoed from the thin lipped, stern looking witch who wore her hair in a neat, tight bun on top of her head. I swallowed a lump in my throat and quickly straightened my witch's hat, which repeatedly kept slipping on my silky, blond hair before gracefully walking up to the stool where I would soon learn of my placing. All thoughts escaped my mind as I sat upright on the wooden seating. The lady, whose name I was not able to catch due to my thoughts about the houses which filled my head, took a moment to stable the sorting hat on my hair after I took off my point witch's hat. A musty stench emanated from the tattered hat as the rip on the front of it opened to speak. "Can never have too many Weasleys, now can we?" the hat mused. This made me blush profusely. Not in a bashful way, however. But also not too upset. More of an embarrassment. I realized that I was the first Weasley to be sorted this year. Or, I believed. There were too many to keep track of. Of course, relatives of various surnames were maybe sorted a few moments ago, but not a Weasley. Our family is large.
"Hmm... Not much like the previous ones, thought, I must say," the sorting hat continued, causing my feelings to change drastically. i could feel a very content smile appear on my face and perhaps a small smirk. I never fancied being like the rest. "Plenty of wit, yes, and would be excellent for Ravenclaw," the hat began again. 'Ravenclaw doesn't seem too bad,' I thought, thinking this was his final decision. "But I see that your desire is to use most of it towards personal gain and matters, which can only mean," it continued, causing my hands to sweat again, and my heart to beat rapidly, "Slytherin!" it bellowed, quite dramatically. At first, I was in shock or more of surprise. Then, it made much sense to me as I slid off the stool. My movement caused the sorting hat to slip off of my head and land on the stool with an upset grunt. I paid it no heed and strode off to the applauding table. It was obvious I fit into the house which I admired most.
