Lily was too excited. She was getting worried that she was getting too excited. She couldn’t believe it yet. It didn’t hit her. She slipped on her dress and pulled on her heels. She liked how it wasn’t a typical ball gown, yet it was elegant. While looking in the mirror, Lily put on her pearl earring tops. She was glad her mother stopped her from buying the black with red embroidery dress. It would have made her looked too red with her hair. She quickly tied up her flaming red hair in a ponytail and got up to leave her dorm. She glanced at the lilies in a vase on her nightstand beside her bed and smiled to herself, before exiting the dorm.
Careful, not to trip on her heels, Lily made it down the staircase leading to her common room, safely. She practiced walking around first, until she got the hang of it. Smiling to herself with confidence, Lily walked her way pass the little second years arguing about who actually won in Wizard Snap and out the portrait hole. Glancing around, nervously, she walked her way down the moving staircases and was cautious of the missing step. She wouldn’t want her leg to fall through it on this occasion.
Finally, Lily reached the bottom of the staircases and waited, patiently right there for Ximun. She frequently checked herself in a nearby mirror. While waiting, Lily remembered how he asked her, earlier today. It was so perfect how he asked her and everything about him was perfect. He wasn’t late, it was that she was a bit early, her being anxious.

This had been the night that Ximun had been looking forward to the entire week. He was going to take Lily Potter to the ball. Ximun really did like Lily. Maybe even loved her. She was all that he had been thinking about for the last month. His dream had finally become reality.
Tightening his black tie, Ximun had felt more nervous than he had when he asked Lily to the ball. He slipped his suit jacket over the vest he was swearing, and laced up his blue and white converse shoes. No doubt that he would receive some sort of taunt from Lily about them. He just hated wearing dress shoes though. Hopefully she would understand.
Ascending the stairs to the Entrance Hall, Ximun took several deep breaths. He reached the top, and saw Lily, waiting for him. She was breathtakingly beautiful. No words in the world could describe how Ximun felt. He walked up to her and took her hand. "Hey there Lilypad." He said, kissing her hand softly. "You look absolutely stunning, love."

Hoping that James wouldn't catch her at the ball and ask who she was with, glanced around for him frequently. That made her bite her lower lip, slightly as she thought of James seeing her with Ximun at the ball. It gave her a small knot in her stomach, but it went away once she imagined her dancing with Ximun. That made most of her worries vanish.
Lily smiled without nervousness when Ximun descended down the stairs. It was just a bit awkward watching him and just smiling. That tingling sense filled her once again as he gently kissed her hand. She slipped that hand into his and replied, "Thanks. You look great, also," ignoring the fact he was wearing the Converse. She didn't mind; she wasn't one into great fashion, anyways. Just on special occasions as this one.

Ximun smiled and kissed Lily's hand once more. "Lils, you don't need to worry about James." He said, moving a strand of hair from her face. "I know he disapproves of us, but he can't control how you feel." He said, half wishing that her brother didn't even exist. He had made it so hard for him to even get a hug from Lily. Whenever he was around, Ximun was actually of being cursed by James.
"So, have you put your flowers in a vase yet, love?" He asked, trying to change the subject before James actually showed up. "Thank you." He said smiling down at her. She was absolutely gorgeous. Hopefuly she hadn't noticed his shoes. Even if she had, he hoped she wouldn't bring it up. "So, are you ready to dance?" He asked nervously.

Lily felt like telling him that she wasn’t worrying about James, but of course, she was. She was yet again surprised at how he knew what she was thinking. However, Ximun was correct. James couldn’t control her feelings. She was just afraid of what James would do once he found out. He was older than Ximun and had quite a temper and much hatred against Slytherins.
“Oh, yes. They look lovely,” Lily replied, remembering the brightly colored lilies in her dorm. “Thank you,” she added, softly. “I’m ready if you are,” she answered, eager to enter the Great Hall.

Ximun smiled and started to walk into the Great Hall with Lily. Hopefully she knew how to dance, because he didn't. "So, um..." He said putting one hand on her waist. "Do you know how to dance? I fail at it, miserably." He said chuckling. "I remember once Alexia asked me to a dance, and I told her no because I was too nervous that I would make a fool of myself." He said smiling.
"So, how have you been today? I forgot to ask you." Ximun said, waiting for her to head him in a dance. He hoped that she had known how, or the entire ball would have been worth nothing.

As Ximun took her waist, Lily took his shoulder. "Hmm," Lily hummed along to the music. "A little bit," Lily replied. She had watched people dance in muggle movies before. "I guess, you just go along with the music," Lily told him. "Alexia?" Lily asked, curiously. She did not know this girl and wanted to, now.
"Other than that incident with Jake, wonderful," Lily said, with a smile, swaying a bit to the music with him. Lily didn't see James anywhere around and not even Albus. Al wouldn't have cared much, though, thankfully. "How has your day been?" lily returned the question.

Ximun nodded. "Okay, great." He said. Shit. I should have never mentioned her... Ximun thought. "Oh! Uhm. I thought I had mentioned her before. She's a really good friend of mine. We dated for a while but there's nothing between us now. I promise to you." He said honestly. "She was really to clingy." He said, trying his hardest not to turn red from embarrassment. "She's just a friend I like to go to parties with sometimes. We have a bunch of classes together."
"That's fantastic, dear." He said smiling. "My day is even better now, because I'm here dancing with you." He said kissing her again.

"I'm no pro, though," Lily said, laughing. Lily didn't mind classical music. Yes, she did prefer faster music, but she was still fine with this. It wasn't like it gave her a headache. Lily just shrugged while Ximun explained. She wasn't jealous or anything, just curious as always. "It's fine," Lily said, with a soft laugh, "I understand,"
Lily could feel her cheek turn a shade of red or pink as he kissed her and she kissed him softly back. She could feel happiness run through her and nothing could ruin that. Except, well, of course, James coming. She could just imagine what he would do. Either a physical fight or a duel, or knowing James, probably both. She just hoped he would act civil, at least tonight.
