Okay. This would work. This would work. Oh, fuck. Who was she kidding? Ethan would see each other, Ethan would blush redder then a tomatoe and start stuttering, and Sirius would probably just leave. Eh, it was worth a shot, anyway. The two of team avoiding each other was really starting to piss her off. They were two of her best friends AND they were each others best friends. .......Okay, they were most likely a hell of a lot more then best friends but oh well. Marlene ran her fingers through her hair as she walked from the girls dormitory and sat down on one of the couches. She'd asked Sirius and Ethan to meet her here at the same time. But she'd asked Ethan to come ten minutes earlier because...yeah. That'd probably be easier. She still didn't know what was going on with those two. They'd been avoiding each other for a month or something now. So Marlene's plan was to bloody force them to sit down and talk. And if they wouldn't......Eh. She'd think of something. She was normally pretty good at getting Ethan and Sirius to do what she wanted. Heck, she was pretty good at getting most people to do what she wanted. It was a talent of hers. Okay. So it was about six now. She'd told Ethan to meet her at 6, and Sirius about 10 past 6.

He really, really really should not be doing this. He should be in the library, working on one of the bajillion essays he had to work on. Not walking toward the common room to meet Marlene just because she'd asked him to. ....he could always just turn around, go back to the library, and work on his herbology essay because he needed an E this year instead of his usual A so he needed to really work his ass off in that class so not only did he need to write that essay he needed to study what they'd learned in the past week plus he had that Charms thingy - And yet he still kept walking towards the common room. "Bubble juice," he told the Fat Lady as he arrived at her portrait, and smiled and thanked her as she swung open to permit him. He was probably one of the only kids in Gryffindor who actually DID that but...she didn't HAVE to let him in. It was only polite to thank her and /where was Marle- Oh. There. On the couch. Right. He walked over to the couch she was sitting on and smiled at her, taking a seat himself. God, he was in a smiley mood today. "Hey," he said, still smiling. "What's up?" he asked, more than a bit confused about why she'd asked him to meet her instead of just talking to him when she'd /asked him to meet her/.

"No, James, I've really got to go," Sirius said for about the seventh time. "But why? We were just starting to get some really good ideas flowing, mate!" "Marlene asked me to meet her. We can continue this later. Please?" James rolled his eyes. "All right, all right, go." "Thank you," Sirius replied, sounding a little exasperated. He stood up and rushed out of the dorm. He still had nearly seven minutes before Marlene had actually told him to meet her in the common room, but he was taking advantage of this. James could really be clingy when he wanted to. He glanced very briefly around the common room and saw her on a couch. He walked over before he really registered anything around her - specifically the boy sitting next to her. "Hey Marlene, I know I'm early but- " he broke off as the entire couch came into view and he recognized the other person sitting on it. Ethan. ... Shit. "I... I'm sorry, I'll... I'll come back in five minutes so you can talk," he said a little nervously, starting to back away.
