ooc/ Disclaimer: Yes, we know my Seamus and all Harry-Year people things are sixth year. But DA meetings are awesome. SO SUCK IT UP. xDD
bic; Well this was...Odd. He'd managed to let Dean talk him into coming to one of these meetings. Used the excuse of 'You owe Harry one,' which, in response, he'd said, 'Why do I feckin' owe him one?' which, in response, Dean had explained to him a fact he'd 'forgotten,' about how he'd been a bit harsh to Harry. Wasn't like he was He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named or anything, so that whole ordeal was probably nothing to Harry. Fine. Maybe he was trying to make himself feel better. So he came along anyway.
To be abandoned, and left standing by himself while Dean 'talked' to Ginny (Really, it was flirting,) and Seamus stood there. Like...Well, really like a Larry-no mates. Brilliant.
Where was he, anyway? Harry? Maybe he'd left and Seamus could go. He wasn't in a very good mood lately, what with no believing He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was back, and therefore that meant impending doom, and the like.
ooc/ It's past craptastic. It's..... THE WORST POST OF THE CENTURY.

ooc; IT'S NOT. IT WAS OKAY XD
bic;; There were nargles in the room. Luna could tell. Harry must've forgotten to get rid of them after Christmas. The Room of Requirement had added a lot of mistle-toe for the season. It was okay, though. She smiled to herself as she reached up a hand to touch the butterbeer cork necklace she had made herself. It repelled nargles. Worked wonders. While scanning the room to find were they were hiding now, she missed Harry's instructions, but was pretty sure he said to get with a partner and work on the patronas charm. Oh, fun! That was her favorite. She stood up from her seat on the floor and looked around the room. Hmmm, well, Ginny was very obviously flirting with a boy she knew to be in Harry's house and year. And Harry was helping a third year understand that charm. Ron and Hermione were working on it together, as per usual, and Neville was with a Hufflepuff boy - Ernie....something. Ahh! Seamus was alone. Luna barely knew him but.....it was worth a shot. She skipped over to where he was standing, her radish earrings swining back and forth with her movements. "Hello, Seamus!" She said brightly. "Have you noticed the nargles all over the room?"

Ohhhh no. For the love of Mary, Joseph, Jesus, Buddha, Shiva, however many gods and religious figures you could name....No. Not Loony. She was skipping here. God damn it, Dean.
He was going to push him out a window.
Seamus seriously considered the various hiding places he could have hid...But there were none.
God damn it, room.
"Hello Seamus!" Well that was normal enough. "Have you noticed the nargles all over the room?" That certainly wasn't.
"Umm...Hello, Loon---a. And...It's kind of hard to notice nargles...If I umm...Don't...Know what they look like. But...All over the room? Nah, I haven't!" He guessed it was best just to play along. "But I definitely saw a grimbledygoop. Just a minute ago. Maybe it was a nargle?" Maybe he'd taken it too far. Oh god. What if that was 'Let's be friends and work together!' in her language? Feck.

Even still, Luna could tell there were nargles all around. Nasty little buggers. She looked up at the ceiling, attempting to seek out their hiding spot. "Gribledygoop's live in Australia, Seamus." She said calmly, still looking upwards. "But you should watch over any possesions you have with you." She warned. "Nargles are skilled pick-pockets." Still, she didn't look down from the rafters on the ceiling. "But, Daddy says that this will repel them." She said, finally looking back to meet his eye and reaching up to touch the butterbeer cork necklace. "I made it myself, so I didn't know if it would work properly. But I haven't had anything taken by nargles ever since!" She smiled. "You should make one youself." Hmmm. She looked around the room. Most people were already attempting to cast a patronas. "Would you like to work together?" She asked, looking back at Seamus.

Aha...Nothing ye- What? They existed?? Wow. Er, they probably didn't, really. And it was like Nargles or Crumple Horned whatevers. Yes.
The way Luna looks at you is very unnerving. It's like she can see exactly what you're thinking, and the way she talks is so sincere and day-dream like it makes you feel uncomfortable, and to Seamus, this was not good.
He was feeling very uncomfortable. Then she told him to make a necklace.
"Yeah, Luna. I don't really make necklaces. I don't do necklaces. Not my thing," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Would you like to work together?" Crap. The question. She might as well have said, 'Would you like to give me your left kidney?' But he had no choice.
"Erm. Okay?"

Luna smiled. "Okay, then. It is your own fault if you find your wand or anything else missing, Seamus." She said calmly. A lot of people were unnerved by the way Luna seemed always calm. She was used to it by now, though. She smiled wider. "Great." She reached up and slid her wand out of her hair, where she had been using it to hold up her hair, which was tied in a bun, in a Japanese style way. "D'you know the patronas charm? Harry showed us last week, but I don't think you were here then, were you?" She smiled. "I've been practicing it in my dormroom all week. I think I've got it mastered."

"My wand...what?" He said, almost to himself. He shook his head and followed Luna a few paces, to a spot where they could practice.
"And...No. I wasn't here. What're we supposed to say?" He answered in reply to Luna's question. Maybe this wouldn't be too bad. Be positive. Yeah, that could work. So long as her patronus wasn't some grimbledygoop or goopygoober or whatever they were.
He knew you had to think of a happy memory. Which one? That time he was seven and stole some of his dad's beer? The time he'd climbed that bitch of a tree in his back garden? Well. This could take some time.

Luna smiled, casting one last glance up at the ceiling. "Expecto Patronam." She answered calmly. "Daddy says that patronases scare nargles, too." She explained. "I so I guess we're safe." She already knew her favorite memory. The time she'd met Harry, Ron, and Hermione on the train at the train at the beginning of the year. Hermione had insulted daddy's magazine, but still. Meeting them led to meeting most of her new friends and the DA meetings. She'd practiced a lot in her dormroom when she was alone, and had managed an actual patronas a total of three times in a row, now. She was very proud of it. "Like this," She said to Seamus, raising her wand. "Expecto patronam! She could still remember almost exactly what happened, when Ginny introduced her. The hare burst from her wand and did that really adorable hopping thing it did, all around the room. She grinned wider.

"Okay....Expecto Patronum. I think this'll be easy," he said. Right. Now. Memory... He decided to pick the time he'd met Dean. He wasn't gay. He was just happy to have made a friend, his first best friend, and they'd become better friends throughout the years, and they'd never argued. So it was probably the friendship that was his happiest memory.
Focusing hard on that, he pointed his wand. "Expecto Patronum!" BANG. Amid the smoke, Seamus' singed hair and face appeared. "Well....FECK."

Luna lowered her wand, and the silver hair dissappeared. She placed her wand behind her ear for safe keeping, and waited for Seamus to attempt the patronas. She could tell he was thinking about a memory. Luna was pretty good at reading expressions. "Actually the wand movement is more like - " BANG. Oops. Too late. Luna cast a simple charm to get rid of the smoke from the mini explosion. Apparently Seamus had a history of exploding spells. Neville had told her. She raised an eyebrow slightly. "Sorry, Seamus, but I don't think that will help repel nargles."
ooc; Sorry. Writers block DX

"Sorry, Seamus, but I don't think that will help repel nargles." Yeah, no fecking shit, Sherlock.
"That's just grand, Luna. I guess I'll just try again, won't I?" He said, between gritted teeth. He hated not getting these things in one go. It probably stemmed from him being impatient.
"So. What, I flick it more or what?" He wasn't going to ask Harry, oh no. He was way more interested in that Chang girl. Whatever. He had Luna. She was a much better teacher.
What the fawkes was he saying? Did he just... Focus, Seamus.

Luna smiled and nodded. "Mmhmm. If you try and try again and again you'll eventually get it right no matter what. " She explained. "Most people think it's because of experience and practice, but it's really the Crumple-horned snorcacks. Daddy says that if they see a person struggling with something for a really really long time, they'll take pity and secretly help you get it right." "That's why I learned the patronus so fast. I used a special powder daddy made that attracts them. Really helped me a lot." She grinned, extremly proud of her explination, and started staring up at the rafters of the ceiling again, once more looking for a sign of nargles.
ooc; Shitty. Sorry. Writer's block =/

...Okay. He took back everything he had previously thought.Harry. Help. Someone. Help! Harry was superman, right? He could read minds too, right? Wrong.
"Um. Right. I'll just...Work on it. Help me think of a memory? Wait. No. You wouldn't know any of my memories. Suggest something?" Something remotely sane.
ooc/ Blockblockblock.

"Daddy says that some nargles, the really really old and wise ones, can see peoples thoughts and memories." Luna said happily, smiling. "Hmm." she said, taking her wand out from behind her ear again and twirled it absent-mindedly through her fingers. She smiled a little wider. "Maybe, when you first got your Hogwarts letter?" She suggested. "Harry told me that quite a few people use that one. Harry did." Luna's gaze still kept flickering back to the ceiling rafters, and then to Seamus for a moment and back again.

"I'll try that one...And, that's grand, Luna. Grand. Hopefully there will be no explosions this time," Seamus replied, hopefully. He seemed to be one of the only ones who couldn't cast one.
"Expecto Patronum!" He said, flicking his wand and focusing on the moment he'd read the letter.
...Nothing. No explosion. Wait. There was a teensy bit of light. Had he done that?
"Erm....I'm getting there?"
