"And at least try not to get anymore detentions this year, study hard and we'll see you at Christmas..." His mother had been going on like this for at least ten minutes. Fabian had managed to walk off without so much as a goodbye. Ah well. The git could get away with it. Gideon, on the other hand, couldn't. Why? He didn't know. It just always worked out like that. ... If the woman carried on any longer, the train would be gone and he'd be stuck here until Christmas. Was that what she wanted? Probably.
He sighed, looking round for anyone he knew, or at least an escape route. Either were certainly most welcome. Heck, even -- Wow. Gideon snapped out of his thoughts to find that his parents were gone. Perfect. Once again, Gideon surveyed the area, this time looking for someone in specific. She wasn't too hard to find, actually standing nearby. Luckily he hadn't been noticed yet. Gideon smirked, moving quickly and quietly to stand behind one Marlene McKinnon. "Is it just me or have you gotten even shorter over the holidays... Honeybunch?"

Marlene was kind of glad that her parents were both busy and couldn't come to see her off. She smirked to herself, watching lots of lingering parents, making their kids promise to write, don't get into trouble...blah, blah, blah. Her mum would probably be ten times worse. She frowned and glanced down at her trunk. Shit. How was she going to get it onto the train? The damned thing weighed more then she did. She had to ask some sixth year to lift it onto the trolley. Hmm. She was pretty sure it wouldn't matter if she used magic now, but she didn't want to risk it. No use in getting in trouble before she even reached the school. That'd be a record, for sure. Marlene rolled her eyes and turned around, hearing the familiar voice of Gideon Prewett. She shot him a dirty look. "For your information, I haven't gotten smaller, you just got even fucking taller." Which was true. She hadn't changed in height, but she knew for a fact that she'd lost quite a bit of weight during the summer. She hadn't really eaten much. But Gideon didn't need to know that. "And If you ever call me that again, I'll hurt you. Okay?" She grinned.
ooc; wrote this really quickly. excuse the shittiness ^^'

Gideon resisted the urge to laugh as he watched Marlene ask a sixth year to get her trunk onto the trolley for her. He had taken care of his already, a.k.a asking the nearest person he could find that he knew -Phil- and making them do it. Nice to know that blackmail still worked.
Gideon smirked slightly, before putting on the 'sad and downright pathetic wounded deer' look. "Ouch. Not even at Hogwarts yet and already I'm being verbally abused by a mid-" Normally Gideon would have carried on and just ran the hell away. Yet as the two were about to get on a train, there were very few places for the poor sod to hide from the 'crazed midget'. Plus the look that Marlene was sending his way was probably enough to kill. Even though there was quite a big height difference, she easily scared him shitless. He quickly discarded any other ideas of how to annoy the girl and decided to play dumb instead. This called for the obviously unbelievable 'innocent' face. "What am I never to call you again?"

Marlene rolled her eyes. Well, at least she could force ask Gideon to help her get her trunk onto the train. "Don't even finish that sentance." She snapped, knowing he was going to call her a midget. "Bloody hell, you're starting to sound like your brother. And I swear on your life if you ever start to turn into your brother I'll officialy disown you as a friend and never speak to you again." She stated, crossing her arms and smirking. She rolled her eyes again. "First of all, that 'innocent' look doesn't work for you. That's my thing." She grinned. "And you have to be cute and adorable to pull it off. Second, you know damn well what I mean, Gideon." She laughed. She heard the train whistle and glanced over at the giant clock on the wall. Ten minutes until the train left.

"If you hadn't noticed, I didn't intend to finish that sentence." Gideon replied with a laugh. It was a nervous laugh as he was starting to become convinced that Marlene could also eat him. You can't say that it wasn't possible . "As hard as it is to believe, I actually value my life."
He raised his eyebrows at her next comment. Sounding like Fabian? How was that even possible? They may be brothers -twins, even...- but there was nothing similar about them whatsoever. Plus Fabian was a git. "How the hell do I sound like Fabian?" Gideon finally chose to just dismiss the comment . "Swearing on my life? That's certainly a bit risky isn't it, McKinnon?" Oooh. Marly was smirking. Perhaps she wasn't going to kill him after all. HOORAY! Clearly the innocent act wasn't working though. He sighed, looking around the area. "Your thing? Since when have you ever been innocent? If I recall correctly, you're the one who went crazy on Me, Nex and Phil and threatened me repeatedly with a knife, Honeybunch." Gideon grinned, knowing that he was really going to pay for that remark. Heeheehee.

Marlene grinned. "Well then you're smarter then you look, Gideon. Kudos." She laughed. "Because. I don't think Fabian's ever adressed me as anything other then either 'midget' or 'bitch'." She could still hardly believe that Fabian and Gideon were brothers. First of all, they looked nothing alike. Second, Fabian was a total bitch. And Gideon was.....well, Gideon. She laughed. "Yes, it's a bit risky but I value my life too, Prewett." She shot back, raising an eyebrow. Marlene smiled. "Of course I'm innocent, Giddy." She said, grinning. "....True, I did do that but that was your own fault for pissing me off in the first place. And I swear, you're pushing your luck with that 'honeybunch' think, Gideon." She snapped. She heard the train whistle again. Five minutes. "We should really get on the train - I'd really rather not be stuck here until Christmas. I can kill you once we're onboard."

Gideon laughed. "Smarter than I look? I thought I looked pretty damn smart to begin with." His smile soon faded as he heard Marlene's next comment. "You know that I'm always joking when I call you a midget... right, Marls?" He wasn't like Fabian. He wasn't like Fabian. Not like Fabian. Not at all... Yes. Chanting did make it sound more believable.
"I can't even remember what it was that I did in the first place. If I recall, it was all Nex and Phil's fault..." He stated, looking hopeful. You have to at least give the boy points for trying. Clearly this didn't work as Marlene continued to threaten him. At least Gideon now knew that he was correct in assuming that the 'evil midget' would kill him where there were no hiding places yet many implements of torture. He supposed that her trunk was full of them. "Actually I'd much rather wait until christmas if it keeps me alive-" he started before realising that Marlene would probably find some way to drag him onto the train and if he co-operated with her, the death would probably be far less painful. He sighed before reluctantly turning to get on the train. "So what's wrong with Honeybunch anyway?"

Marlene laughed. "Hate to burst your bubble Gid, but you're not." She raised an eyebrow at his sudden change of attitude. "You'd better not mean it." She laughed. "I know, though. You're not half as bad as your brother." "....Okay, now that I think about it, I don't remember either." She admitted. "But I know it was your fault, becuase if it wasn't I'd be chasing them with the house elf's kitchen knife. And even I'm not stupid enough to chase Nex with a weapon. She knows where I sleep." She smiled rolled her eyes. "Just shut up and get on the train, Gidi." She laughed. She finally decided to just take out her wand and levitate her trunk. Way easier. "Easy." She said, stepping onto the train with her trunk levitating ahrad of her. "It's annoying and pisses me off."

Gideon pouted. "I'm not? Then how the hell did I end up in Ravenclaw?" he asked, enjoying the fact that he didn't have to lug his own trunk onto the train. Instead he focused on finding an empty carraige- it would be much easier than actually trying to find any of their friends. By pure luck alone, Gideon managed to find one not too far away. "Ok, I see your point about Nex and weapons. Now that I think about it, I know where Phil sleeps and he still gives me brain damage each morning." Gideon soon realised how our dear Philip could get away with it- he was always up before Gideon. Gideon wouldn't even bother to get him in the middle of the night or ... three in the morning for example, as he didn't want to lose valuable sleep-time. Phil was therefore one lucky sod.
Gideon sat down by the window in the carraige, stretching out his legs and resting them on the seat opposite. As he did, the train slowly started to pull out from the station. He smiled softly, turning his head to look at Marlene. "I've just realised what you were chasing me with a knife for. Nex and Phil kept saying how much of a cute couple we'd make... and I can't remember the rest." Well that was useful. Pah.

we're one mistake for being together let's not ask why it's not right
you won't be seventeen forever && we can get away with this tonight _____________________
Fabian yawned, looking down at his black robes. They were new, and they fit. That was good. But he had gotten ten pairs of them, from both his mom and dad. That seriously wasn't necessary in his point of few. Walking down the hall way, he held his wand. But then he stopped, raising his wand to the roof, he flicked it. Rain starting to come down on everyone below fifth year. Smiling happily, he continued to search for an empty compartment. Fabian had gotten a new owl, another snowy owl that he named Gabi. They didn't have any males which annoyed him. Pulling the luggage, ignoring the chirping from Gabi. That was seriously going to get annoying.
Then, some little wet first year ran into a wall as lightning just missed him. Laughing, Fabian continued to walk, still searching for an empty one. This is why he shouldn't spend ten minutes leaning against a wall planning a prank. Slowing down as a Slytherin contently passed him, clearly having no problem. Well, that seriously help. It proved that Gideon didn't sell him to them. WORDS!? 185. eww. STATUS!? Single SONG!? umm. o.o ANYTHING ELSE!? nope CREDIT!? credit to carrie @ caution

Sirius was running late. Really late. He had only been on the train for about a minute when it started to move. He'd lost all his friends in the process of - what had he been doing again? God, he couldn't even remember. How sad was that? His brain was so scattered recently, he could barely think. He wandered along the train, glancing from left to right in search of a compartment. Not an empty one - that was definitely too much to hope for at this point. Just one with people he could tolerate in it.
You'd think that would be easy for a guy as popular as Sirius, but no, of course the compartments he passed were all filled with little first and second years, or people he didn't know, or random jackass Slytherins. When at last he recognized a face he could stand, it wasn't in a compartment - it was directly in front of him. In fact, he almost ran into the guy.
He blinked a couple times, a little surprised. "Fabian! Hey! You're running late, too, I see?"

"Obviously the hat was wrong when it sorted you." Marlene grinned, sliding the compartment door shut behind her. She didn't bother even attempting to get her trunk on the over-head rack, and just pushed it under the seat with her foot. "I mean, look at Phil." She said, sitting next to Gideon. "He's in Ravenclaw, isn't he? The hat must just guess when a kid doesn't fit anywhere else. And that, my friend, is how you landed in Ravenclaw." "But you're too nice to do anything to Phil. Nex, on the other hand.....I wouldn't put it past her to kill me." She smiled. "No, that was part of the conversation, but that's not why I got the knife. Maybe I was just bored." She laughed. "And there just happened to be an innocent house elf who believed that I needed a butcher knife for a Charms project."

Gideon couldn't help but laugh. This was probably one of the most absurd things that he'd heard in quite a while. "So you think that the sorting hat... just guesses with some people?" ... The sad thing was that when Gideon said it like that, it made sense. Plus, she played the Phil card, which counted as a very low blow. "I'm sorry, but Phil is a special case. And anyway, we're both getting good enough grades to at least pretend that we're meant to be in Ravenclaw." Gideon said indignantly, staring blankly out of the window.
"Well Nex is clearly insane. Therefore it's no surprise that she would try and kill you... what do you mean that I'm too nice to hurt Phil?" Gideon asked curiously, turning back to look at Marlene. In actual fact Gideon had to agree with her. No one could probably hurt Phil as doing so would be like shooting puppies. The guy was pretty much a wounded deer as it is.
"So Marls, are you saying that we wouldn't make a cute couple?" Gideon asked, his voice no louder than a murmur. He was looking directly into Marlene's eyes, their faces now quite close together. Gideon didn't say anything else, nor did he move. He was currently thinking of all the people that would probably kill him for even thinking about this. To hell with it, he shortly decided before leaning in the rest of the way until his lips finally met Marlene's. He'd pay for it later.

"Yes it does. Because how else would you and Phil end up in Ravenclaw, and Ally and Ara in Hufflepuff?" Marlene asked, raising an eyebrow. "And how many of those good grades have to managed to get without help from your brother or Chase or someone else? I get all my horrible grades honestly." "Nex is very obviously insane." She grinned. "But it's hard not to love the girl. It's more fun setting fire to the potions lab with her then anyone else I know." She paused, thinking for a moment. "Because Phil is....well, he's Phil." She smirked slightly at his question. "I never said t-" But she was cut off then, for obvious reasons. It took a minute to realize what was going on, but then it dawned on her that Gideon was kissing her. And she liked it. Somehow, she found herself kissing him back.

Standing there, with a cocked head as Sirius ran up to him. Or nearly ran into him. However you put it. Fabian looked at Sirius and nodded. "Yup. Figured out how to make it rain." He said, motioning up with his chin to the ceiling. He smiled innocently as he kicked the cage Gabi started to make noise in. "God damn it you stupid bird. Shut up." He said with a sigh. "Sorry 'bout that." Fabian said to Sirius.
Then grabbing the nearest compartment door nob, which seemed empty. Turning it, he stepped in side. Then he saw then. That little bitch was eating his face. "Dude! I thought you were gay!" He exclaimed with giant eyes. Pulling out his wand, he pointed it to Gideon, flicking it, murmuring the spell for jelly arms and legs. Then turning to Marlene, he did the same with a confused look. "What the fuck where you doing to his face?".
