Straightening her back comfortably, Faye blankly stared at the plain, unwritten on scroll of parchment. Though she was regularly pretty decent at writing essays, this one wasn't really coming to mind. Herbology wasn't a very strong point of hers, but this essay was apparently an 'important part of their knowledge'. Yes, because every one needs to know how to identify plants that they would probably never encounter again in their lives.
Tapping the end of the quill lightly on the desk to think, moving her eyes to stare at a candle in front of her that kept flickering lightly. Looking around the Slytherin Common room, she frowned as there was no source to help her. Sighing, Faye scribbled little doodles on the desk, not really caring if some one noticed sooner or later when they sat here.
It was times like this that Noah wished to god that Slytherins had a tower too. Because the dungeons... well, there was little good you could say about them, to be honest. The dungeons were one of the few places in the castle that could (and had been known to) occasionally flood, they were dark, underground and ... well, that was all he could think of at the moment. Just some windows would be nice, especially if there was a view that came with them.
So why am I telling you about this, exactly? Well, Noah was bored. Again. And when he was bored, he tended to get seriously off the subject and think about random things, like this, to be precise. Of course, it may not have been boredom at all - instead more of a serious desire to procrastinate from his homework. This was fine. The only problem was that Noah couldn't find a single thing to do instead.
He gazed lazily around the common room, looking for someone to talk to, or if not annoy. Of all the times for the place to be damn near empty, it just had to be then. The few people in there were actually working, and most of them Noah could have sworn he'd never seen before in his life. Then he saw her. With a smirk Noah silently stood up and went to lean on the back of her chair. "It's really not a good idea to do that, Faye baby."
Noah had chosen to go for the 'annoy' option.

Night time, the best time in Alex’s opinion... except for the fact it was then followed by the most hated mornings. The reasons Alex liked night time included the fact a black sky sprinkled with bright stars and a ever changing moon as a lot easier on the eyes than a bright sun in the morning, and the fact you haven’t just woken up at night... well unless you have a weird sleeping path but that’s just complicating things. The black haired boy couldn’t help but wonder why his thoughts got as random at times like these as he entered the Slytherin common room.
A smile flew across his face as he remembered for once everything was done... and to a standard he liked no less! As usual the common room was dully lit, pretty much suited Alex completely mainly as he was a sucker for atmosphere, ice-blue iris’s scanned around for others and took notice at the girl at the desk whom only seconds before turned her head to look around. He raised an eye brow underneath his bangs and quickly studied her, she was pretty. Hmm... maybe he should introduce himself. ‘wow you can be shallow sometimes Al’ he thought to himself walking over “ They are a nice touch to the desk” he commented on her doodles “ It’s kinda plain really without them” he made sure to take any sarcasm from his voice and use a slight happy interested tone... if such a tone existed. But either way he hoped not to come off as rude. It was only then he noticed the other person there “Oh hey, guess I’m not the most observant in the world” that’s a great way to introduce yourself Alex.

Jumping slightly at the weight applied to her chair as some one leaned against it. "How so? A little ink seems harmless." Faye said, raising an eyebrow at him. Staring at him for a few moments, trying to realize who he was. Ah. The Avery guy. "Plus, it's really not a good idea to lean on a chair, you never know when one's foot could slip." She teased gently, moving her eyes to stare examine her little doodles.
Watching the other guy who spoke, he was rather familiar. Obviously he was in Slytherin, probably resulting him being in a few classes of hers. "Hm. Not very fine wood, I'm surprised there aren't much doodles on here." Faye answered, tracing a finger on the wood, noticing the bumps and cracks that had been probably cleaned a few times from the house elves.
"Well sure the ink may seem harmless," Noah replied casually, picking up Faye's hand and trailing it across the drawings, "Yet it certainly makes one hell of a mess." With that he let her wrist drop, it now stained with ink. So much for those doodles. Noah then sat down on the seat next to her with a smirk. "And I'm pretty sure that my leaning on your chair won't be much of an issue now."
