Full Name:
Albus Severus Potter.
Albus comes from Albus Dumbledore, most commonly known for being Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, believed by many people to have been the best Headmaster the school has ever had. Albus, in Latin, has several meanings: “white (without lustre), hoary”; “clear, bright”; “fortunate, auspicious”; “pale, fair, grey”.
Severus comes from Severus Snape. Snape was Albus’ father’s Potions teacher for most of his time at Hogwarts and Headmaster during what would have been Harry’s seventh year. Although Harry disliked him during that time, he now says that Snape was one of the bravest men he had ever known.
For many generations, the Potter family was a Pureblood family, but now is definitely only known because of Harry Potter, the ‘Boy Who Lived’ and the man who killed Lord Voldermort.

Boggart:
James and Lily walk towards him, talking and laughing. Lily's eyes flick straight past him as if he wasn't there, James seemed to notice him but he ignored his brother and put is arm around Lily's shoulder, walking on past Albus.
There are other people around him, too. Albus quickly singles out Rose and Scorpius. Rose is giggling at something Scorpius has said and they walk past like Lily and James did, seemingly ignoring Albus.
Other people Albus recognises, Teddy, Victoire, other members of his family, all walk past him in a similar way or stand right next to him and begin a conversation as if he wasn't there.
[Although he doesn't like being compared to his family Albus' greatest fear is to be completely forgotten about or ignored. He isn't as forward as a lot of the rest of his family and often needs more reassurance than his brother and sister. Although he hates it, he would rather be compared to the others or known as 'Harry Potter's youngest son' or 'James Sirius' little brother' than be completely unknown.]
Patronus:

Weaknesses:

``Short attention span.
Personality:
Albus is usually classed as ‘quiet’, but this is not completely true all the time. He can be quite shy around people he doesn’t know well or doesn’t trust, something that has probably come from his brother always been the louder and more confident one when they were growing up. James being the older one, he would always introduce Albus as well as himself, so when Albus came to Hogwarts he wasn’t that used to talking to people he didn’t know. However, when he is around his family and other people he knows well and trusts, Albus opens up and can talk quite happily about subjects that he is interested in. Even then he is not as loud as other members of his family, and often ends up being overshadowed by them.
Ever since he was a child, Albus has had a kind of quiet intelligence. He tends to remember a lot of things that he reads, although unfortunately he often finds that he remembers the more interesting, highly detailed facts that one is never asked about in class. This happens most often in Potions, his best subject by far, where he excels in practical work as he understands the theory, science and magic behind it very well, but when it comes to essays he writes about what interests him, which isn’t usually what the teacher is looking for.
Despite his quietness, Albus has followed the family tradition of pranks in a way. When they were children, he was always the one doing the detailed planning and organisation, the quiet backstage parts, or as Harry jokingly called it once the ‘evil mastermind work’. This has continued during his time at Hogwarts, although it is not helping James with pranks any more. Al’s meticulous planning skills are now mostly put to use in his potions work, although occasionally for his own small pranks and tricks.
Although Albus has been described as ‘sweet’ and ‘caring’ by several of his cousins, and tries his best not to judge people until he knows them (although he finds it hard to trust people quite a lot of the time, unless he his completely comfortable in their presence, so this isn’t a very common event), many have agreed that he has a sick sense of humour. His quiet front may suggest that he cares about everyone and doesn’t like to see others suffer, but he has the seemingly Slytherin instinct to smile when someone else is getting told off or trips. However, this instinct is overtaken by his sense of family if it is a family member who is in trouble. His not-so-friendly relationship with James during school, however, sometimes gets the best of him, and he could not deny the fact that he enjoys getting revenge on his older brother for his pranks.
Speaking of family, Albus’ opinion of his can change very rapidly from day to day. He loves them all, yes, but Albus hates being judged for his name and compared to his namesakes. He knows that it is not is father’s fault that he is so famous, or that they look so alike, but he often finds that he resents it. He is often compared to his father or to his namesakes, Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape, by teachers and other students, and he hates it. He is also often compared to his older brother and sometimes his cousins, and although he has almost accepted it, he is still trying to prove that he is his own person. When he was younger, Albus hated his name, but he has learned to accept it now, although he has been known to irritably introduce himself as “Albus. Severus. Potter, YEAH GET OVER IT ALREADY.”

Hair:
Like his father and late grandfather, Albus has thick, black hair which is pretty much untameable. Although he does not mess it up himself, like his grandfather did, it sticks up at the back and refuses to lie flat. It isn’t particularly long or particularly short, brushing his ears at the sides, slightly longer at the back and shorter at the front.
Eyes:
Albus’ eyes are bright green and almond shaped, inherited from his Grandmother, Lily Evans, through his father. They are just one of the reasons why almost everyone feels the need to constantly remind him how much he looks like his father.
Complexion:
Fairly pale most of the time, but tanned during and just after the Summer holidays due to all the quidditch his family makes him join in with.
Height:
5" 10'
Weight:
150lbs.
Build:
As a child, Albus was always small and skinny, as in fitting underneath the coffee table aged eight kind of small. He is quite a bit taller now, although still definitely on the skinny side as he hasn’t yet grown into his height.
Unique Features:
lbus’ bright green eyes are fairly distinctive, although, of course, he shares them with his father. The one feature that makes him different to his father is the spattering of freckles across his nose and cheeks. They aren’t as obvious as on many of his Weasley cousins, but they are still there.

Family:
Mother: Ginevra Molly Potter, nee Weasley.
Father: Harry James Potter.
Brother: James Sirius Potter.
Sister: Lily Luna Potter.
History:
Albus Severus Potter was born at 3:13am on February 20th, 2006 in the maternity ward of St. Mungo’s Hospital, London. He was the second child of Harry and Ginny Potter; a child in the limelight by default. Two days after Albus Severus was born, a smiling but tired looking of mother and child appeared in the Daily Prophet and a week or so later it was followed by a picture of the whole family: Harry, Ginny, Albus and year-old James Sirius. After this, the Potter’s tried to keep their children out of the public eye, but with a father who defeated Voldermort at the head of the Auror Office and a mother who, at the time, played Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies, photographs of the boys, and later their sister, were gold dust to the press.
Until his sister, Lily Luna, was born in 2008, the family lived at Number 12, Grimmauld Place, the magically enhanced London townhouse Albus’ father had inherited from his Godfather, Sirius Black. After Lily was born, the five Potters moved to Godric’s Hollow – the village where Harry and his parents had lived before the tragic events of Halloween 1981.
From there, Albus had a fairly normal childhood, although one where he saw the picture of some member of his family in the newspaper a lot more often than most children. When they were growing up, Albus had a very close relationship with his older brother, James Sirius. At that age they were brothers, best friends and partners in crime, James thinking up scheme after scheme, Albus planning them and James carrying them out with a little help from Al and various other cousins.
Albus had been waiting for his turn to go to Hogwarts almost all his life, ever since Teddy went when he was two years old. When it was finally his turn, he was excited, but he was also very nervous. He knew that he had big reputations to live up to: Albus Dumbledore, commonly regarded to be the greatest headmaster Hogwarts had ever seen; Severus Snape, a genius at potions and one of the bravest men his father ever knew, and Harry Potter, his father, the ‘Boy who Lived’, person who defeated Voldermort aged seventeen and now head of the Auror office. There was also the fact that James kept teasing him, saying he was going to be in Slytherin. Up ‘til then, everyone, Albus included, had expected him to follow his family into Gryffindor, but however worried Albus was about being in Slytherin, his father made him start to think that Slytherin wouldn’t be so bad. When it came to the sorting, Albus gained a place in Slytherin, happy, but not so happy at being separated from his cousin and close friend Rose, who became a Gryffindor as expected.
Over the five years Albus has spent at Hogwarts so far, he has found he fits in quite well in Slytherin and he is doing well in most of his classes, getting on quietly.

Albus Severus Potter did not like his name. First of all it sounded downright ridiculous, and secondly it gave him a great deal to live up to. Each part of his name meant something, and each part came with a different reputation, none of which he had earned himself.
Albus. Albus’ first name came from Albus Dumbledore, probably the greatest wizard who ever lived. A little crazy in his old age, maybe, but a great man all the same. Albus understood why his parents wanted to name him after Dumbledore, but he didn’t understand why people seemed to think he was disrespecting Dumbledore’s memory if he didn’t do perfectly at things Dumbledore was good at; as if he wasn’t doing his name justice.
Severus. Some found it surprising that Harry Potter had named his son after Severus Snape, but Harry always said that Snape was the bravest man he ever knew. Albus Severus himself wasn’t sure. The way his father told stories Snape sounded brave, but Al wondered how much of it was completely true. He didn’t completely distrust his father but he was still unsure. This name, too, gave him a reputation, but a completely different one. Snape was brave, maybe, but he was also head of Slytherin House and an exceptional potions maker.
Potter. This was the name that even his father didn’t really have control over, but was the heaviest weight on the boy’s shoulders. Before he even came to Hogwarts he was preceded by three Potters and their reputations that almost everyone knew. His Grandfather, James Potter: a Gryffindor, star chaser, Marauder and well loved prankster and also a top student and Head Boy. Harry Potter, his father: another Gryffindor, star seeker, good student and, more notably, the ‘Boy Who Lived’ and the person who defeated Lord Voldermort when he was seventeen. Albus looked pretty much exactly the same as his father, which didn’t help him at all. It singled him out as Harry Potter’s son even more than his name. Finally there was James Sirius Potter, his older brother. James had made a name for himself in his first term at Hogwarts, not as Harry Potter’s son but by living up to his namesakes’ reputations. Like James Potter and Sirius Black, James Sirius was a Gryffindor, a prankster and very popular. Albus, on the other hand was none of these things. Unlike the rest of his family he was in Slytherin, and he was quieter and less attention-seeking than his brother.
Albus Severus Potter did not like his name, so having it shouted at him wasn’t really his preferred way of waking up.
“Albus Severus Potter!”
Something large and soft hit him; a pillow. He opened his eyes to see a tall red haired girl standing over him, frowning.
“Wassup Rosie?” he mumbled, blinking up at her.
“Alby! You said you’d meet us for breakfast early today, what time do you call this?”
Albus pushed himself up onto his elbows then sat up, pushing sleep-tousled black hair out of his eyes. As he had just woken up he had no idea what the time was, of course, but judging by Rose’s scolding it was later than it should have been. He glanced sideways to try and look at the clock on his bedside table, but it was face down with a book on top of it. He made a mental note to tidy up his things and looked back at his cousin, starting to wish he hadn’t told her the password to the Slytherin common room.
“I- I don’t know?” he replied, shrugging.
Rose folded her arms across her chest and shook her head. “Half an hour, Alby, half an hour! Lily’s been worrying, thinking you’re ill or something. She as good as begged me to come down here and see if you were alright.”
Albus frowned. Rose was talking too fast and it was too early in the morning for him to take it all in. Looking around the room he saw that he was that he was far from being the last one in bed. Most of his dorm mates were still asleep, although Rose seemed to have woken someone up, so it couldn’t be half an hour since he was supposed to be in class.
His cousin sighed. “Half an hour since you were supposed to meet us for breakfast?” she suggested, sitting on the end of Albus’ bed.
Albus groaned. It was Aunt Hermione’s birthday soon, so he had agreed to meet Rose and the others early so they would have time to discuss presents before the next Hogsmeade weekend. “Merlin, Rose, that means it’s only seven!” he wriggled back under the sheets and lay back. “Lemme sleep.”
Rose shook her head again and leaned forwards so she could pull Albus’ sheets back. She grabbed them and pulled as hard as she could, so despite Albus’ best efforts to hold onto them they ended up next to Rose at the end of the bed.
Albus sat up again and rubbed his arms to try and warm himself up, the Slytherin dormitories weren’t the warmest place in the castle. The look on his cousin’s face said it all; there was no way he was going back to sleep now. He sighed. There was no point in fighting it: Rose had been beating him in arguments ever since they could talk.
“Fine then,” he said, grumpily. “But you’ve got to leave now, Rosie.”
At first she didn’t move, sitting on the end of his bed with her arms folded across her chest.
“I promise I’ll get up,” Albus said, smiling slightly. He found that after knowing her for almost sixteen years he could tell almost exactly what she was thinking, as she smiled back and nodded.
“You’d better,” she said, warningly, the amused glint in her eyes giving her away.
Al stood up and began to push her towards the door as she started giggling. “C’mon Rose, Lily’ll be worrying about you now. She’ll think Malfoy’s eaten you or something. Leave.”
The door clicked shut behind her and Albus turned back towards his bed. He considered pulling the sheets back up and getting back into bed, but he had promised Rose and he didn’t want to break his promise, however small it was. Instead he began to make his bed as some of the others around him began to stir.
Once he was done, he sat on the edge of the bed and put his arms out behind him, leaning on them slightly. The blond boy in the bed next to his hated him, Albus knew that. He also knew that although he was supposed to hate him back, he didn’t. He really didn’t.
Albus knew that he was supposed to be getting dressed so he could meet Rose, Hugo, James and Lily for breakfast, but he was supposed to do a lot of things. He was supposed to have bought Lily a birthday present before her actual birthday. He was supposed to listen in Potions instead of working it out himself and staring at a certain blond boy in front of him. He was supposed to hate Scorpius Malfoy.
It was unwritten law that the Potters and the Malfoys didn’t like each other. After the way Harry Potter had tried to change it, although Albus wondered how sincere it had been, but it seemed like it was in their blood. As Albus watched Scorpius Malfoy sleep he wished it wasn’t so. When he was asleep was the only time when Scorpius’ hair wasn’t perfect, and Albus always thought the usually aloof boy looked innocent and so beautiful when he was asleep.
Al sighed softly and rested his head in his hands. There was no point. Scorpius hated him, and even if he didn’t both of their families would hate them for liking each other. At least, he thought they would. Albus’ family would probably be more understanding, even if they took a while to get round to the idea, but he had no idea how Draco Malfoy would react. Not that there was any point in wondering about it – it was never going to happen.
He stood up and glanced around the room, glad that no one else was fully awake yet. He had been caught watching Scorpius in Potions already, and he didn’t want a repeat. Taking one last lingering look at Scorpius, Albus turned and began to get dressed.
