Electra wasn’t really in the mood for eating a heavy lunch this fall afternoon, especially not with the small food fight started by a few third years. Electra was a bit on the serious side and always looked like she needed a bit cheering up. She didn’t believe that she had a reason to be happy. Since the day she was born, her father, no exaggeration, had hated her. After her dreadfully long History of Magic class with the blunt ghost of a professor, Electra dragged herself over to the Great Hall, quickly grabbed a golden apple and turned around to leave. As she turned, she caught a glimpse of her older brother with some mail, from their father most likely. Gritting her teeth, Electra left in great strides. She knew her brother would have made an attempt to stop her if he had seen her, but he hadn’t. Her brothers were the only close ones to her. Deciding to keep her mind off of things in this free period, Electra walked to the end of the hall and made a right and then went to the end of that hallway, where her favorite spot was. It was secluded, but breathtaking. There was a large opening in the wall there, with a wall about two feet high and four feet across- enough for at least two people to sit there closely. Hunter green vines creeped up the walls of it and there was just enough sunlight peeking through the thick trees and shrubs for her to read. She sat there, threw the core of her apple on the ground, and pulled out her Ancient Runes textbook.
