Autumn looked around, making sure there was no one around her. No, there wasn’t anyone. Taking one last check, Autumn fell against one of the numerous trees in the courtyard, and cried. Cried hard. It seems as though all of her work finally caught up to her, and overwhelmed her to the point of no return. School was getting harder and harder for her to focus on, and that was partially because of what happened a few weeks prior. The girl still felt like this was her fault, that Phil and Thalia broke up. Why wouldn’t it be? She was the reason Thalia went and cheated on Phil with Calvin. And the reason Phil had been so depressed. It was all her fault. More tears ran down the girls face. This was getting way too out of hand for her, and she knew that sooner or later, she was going to end up cracking, and there would be no way for her to come back from this. She just hoped that no one would come and find her…

He honestly couldn't believe it. The pissy mood that Phil had been in for about the past week or so was actually annoying him now. Seriously. Phil had been... well, pretty much the anti-him. Short tempered, sarcastic and, as people seemed to like calling him lately, depressed. Depressed? Come on. Phil wasn't depressed. He was just a lot more down than usual. Yet the way that everyone was making it seem gave Phil the impression that being down was now a felony and he must have missed the memo. Again.
With a sigh Phil walked into the courtyard. Instantly he sensed that something was wrong. For one, it was November (in Britain, the land of eternal rain and gloom, I might add) and yet the sun was actually out and shining. That really was just not natural. He dumped his bag on the nearest bench and began to get out his transfiguration homework. Sure, Phil still had a week to do the essay, yet he was bored and may as well get it out of the way.
The only problem now though was that Phil's train of thought had completely dissapeared, someone else in the courtyard that he hadn't noticed before was making too much noise for him to focus. With that, Phil shoved his homework and quill back into his bag, now looking for the source of the crying noise. ... Autumn.
She was the one crying, and doing so pretty damn hard too. Shit. This was all his fault, wasn't it? He'd been pretty much a man-bitch lately. He'd pretty much alienated himself from everyone, including her. He'd done this. Slowly and quietly Phil moved, sitting down next to her, leaning against the tree. He really wasn't sure what to do. "... I'm sorry." Phil said eventually. Well, it was a good start.

A hiccup escaped Autumn’s lips as she closed her eyes and rested her head against her lap. She really didn’t care if someone came up to her. She looked like shit, and there wasn’t much that she could do anymore. No one was going care, anyways. “I can’t believe I was so stupid.” She spluttered, as she hit her head against the tree trunk. And again. And again. A bump was probably starting to form, but hey. If she hit her head enough times, she might get a concussion and die. That’d be fun. There was something off though. Autumn could feel someone…watching her? Who’d have the gall to watch her cry and hit her head in hopes of brain damage?! But then they sat down next to her. Finally, Autumn closed her eyes again, and just sat there. Whoever it was, it really didn’t matter. Not like it was anyone importa- wait. ‘I know that voice,’ she thought, slowly opening her eyes and turning her head to the unknown person. Phil. There. Watching her cry. Oh shit. “Phil!? Wh-what are you doing here?” she asked frantically, wiping away the tears from her eyes and hopefully making it look like she wasn’t just bawling her eyes out. Fat chance that was. “Sorry? Sorry for what?”

"You've never been stupid," Phil said softly, looking up at the freakishly blue sky with disinterest, "and you never will be. I thought you of all people would have known that." Although at some parts it may not have come across like it, Phil had intended that to be a compliment. "Anyway, if anyone's stupid, it's me."
What was he doing in the courtyard? That was actually a pretty good question. There really wasn't any particular reason for Phil to be there, aside from the fact that he had been bored and wandering. "I don't know," He eventually replied, "Maybe I somehow knew you were upset and just knew to go to the courtyard."Ok- like anyone would believe that. "Or maybe I got lucky and found you here." That's more like it.
"What am I sorry for?" Phil repeated slowly. Hmm. He would have thought that it'd be quite obvious. "Honestly tell me that you didn't notice the dramatic attitude change of mine where I went from the happy dork to the man-bitch."

Autumn scoffed at Phil. Never done anything stupid? ‘I highly doubt that’ she thought, rolling her eyes. Phil really was a sweetheart, but sometimes he just said the stupidest things. “Darling, you weren’t stupid. ((Kind of contradictory there, isn't it?)) You were hurt. It’s simple to understand.” Autumn said softly, with a somewhat harsh tone. She’d been hurt by him, but she wasn’t going to let him know that. At least he was starting to get to his old self, making some jokes? “Haha, you’re not /that/ skilled yet, my dear Phillip. Good try though.” Autumn leaned against him and rested her head on his shoulder. Crying gave her the worst headaches, and this one was just a bitch. “Luck is usually what you get." “Oh…that…” Autumn commented, retracing her memories for all of the ones Phil was in. Angst, was pretty much all you could describe it as. “You…have been pretty…man-bitch like, but, once again, you have very valid reasons.” Glancing up at the boy, she noticed that there wasn’t a trace of a smile anywhere. It kind of unnerved her, seeing him so upset. She sighed quietly and nuzzled closer to her friend. “Is there anything I can do that’ll make you smile more and possibly be happier than you are at this very moment?” she asked tentatively.

Phil just shrugged. "I've done some pretty damn stupid things before what happened." was the simple reply that came from him. Then Phil actually paused to think about these things. Then, for some reason, he couldn't help but giggle slightly. "Anyway, no one can still figure out how I'm in Ravenclaw. I think that counts as stupid." It wasn't that Phil received bad grades or anything - in that case he was as good as any other Ravenclaw. Yet the 'lack of logic' and supposed inability to answer the riddles at the common room entrance had posed the question numerous times.
"I'm not?"Phil repeated with a sigh. "Well, that's seven years of my life wasted." Hmm. Another Phil-joke. He really was becoming more like himself very fast. But still- maybe that whole thing just went to show that guys were never meant to understand girls. Or that Phil just wasn't as awesome as we like to think.
What would make him smile? That was a pretty damn good question. Hard to answer too. "Can I come back to you on that one?" Phil asked, wrapping his arms around the girl. "Until then, promise you won't ever go too?"

“You’re in Ravenclaw because you’re an extremely intelligent person. And I’m just…more intelligent cause I help you a good majority of the time! So we’re like…the perfect Ravenclaws!” she rambled off, assuming for a second that her words could have a double meaning. Autumn blushed at the thought, but quickly dismissed it. It wasn’t going to happen. A smile quickly came over Autumns face as Phil was becoming himself again. Whatever it may be, she was thankful that he wasn’t being such a jerk. The girl looked out around the courtyard. It was kind of shocking that no one was actually out there, bombarding Autumn with questions, or pointedly avoiding Phil. This was actually very nice. A gasp escaped Autumn though as Phil put his arm around here. She relaxed instantly though, and leaned into the boy more. But when Phil spoke, she was slightly confused. Why would she ever want to leave him? Even when he was extremely non-Phil like, she didn’t want to stay away from him. “Phil, I would never leave. I promise.”
