* - - - you flooded through my veinsYOU LEFT ME BROKEN Ally could use her insomnia to her advantage. Y'know, get some homework or extra studying done. That's what any other person would probably do with their night. Ally? Nah. Well, what was she choosing to do on this cool winter night? Go down to the lake with a bottle of firewhiskey, and sleep out there in the snow (that is, if she even slept at all). Most people would think she was crazy, sleeping outside when there was four or five inches of snow on the ground. Some people thought she was brave, going out there and risking frostbite and shit. She wasn't going to get frostbite or anything. She wasn't that stupid. A cold, on the other hand? Quite possibly. She was walking from the castle to the lake now, laughing at herself as she tried to walk directly in some guys footprints in the snow. His legs must've been way longer than hers, because she practically had to jump each time to get to the next track. She could tell it'd been a guy, because of the size of his feet. The brunette Hufflepuff was wearing a white knit hat, dark blue skinny jeans, and a thick, white wool sweater that matched the hat and had a neat little spell on it, to keep her whole body warm. That was useful. It'd started to lightly snow again, and the delicate white flakes were scattered along her curly dark hair, which she was wearing down. She had her backpack over one shoulder. Inside was her wand, her notepad incase she saw something she wanted to draw, her transfiguration book, just in case she decided to actually start that huge transfiguration essay that was due in two days, a thick dark yellow blanket she’d taken from the Hufflepuff common room so she wouldn’t have to sit on the snow and get her ass wet (she’d used a charm to make it small enough to fit) and, last but certainly not least, a bottle of firewhiskey, just for the fun of it and in case someone came along. Those chances weren’t likely, because it was like, three in the morning, but still. Never hurt to consider your options. She spread the blanket out and dropped her school bag on top of it, but not before taking out the firewhiskey. She popped open the top and took a sip, letting the cool liquid slide down her throat, leaving a slight burning sensation. It wasn’t called firewhiskey for nothing, after all. She lay down on the blanket with the bottle laid next to her, and her head resting on her bag as she stared up at the stars, looking for one of the few constellations she actually knew.

*THIS COULD BE THE START OF SOMETHING NEW BABY, I WANT TO BE ALL OVER YOU ` After closing the textbook, Jordan gave a big yawn and rubbed his eye. Major signs of tiredness for him, plus it was three in the morning. What was he doing? Well, for one, he was catching up with his studying after too many practices of Quidditch and his common room had a small party the night before. Not in his outdoor clothes anymore and now in his blue pajamas and gray sweater, Jordan got up, the textbook in his hand and headed towards the Hufflepuff common room. The textbook wasn’t his, but Derek’s, and the boy needed it the next day. Being trustworthy, as always, Jordan had to return it anytime, but before his friend needed it. Once in the yellow cozy common room, Jordan was about to make it up the stairs to the boys’ dorms, when he spotted Connor sitting there. He still wasn’t his usual self- apart from the not sleeping during the night part. Connor was just sitting there, alone, and staring into the fireplace. Still clutching to the book, Jordan made his way to his best friend and stood next to where he was sitting and said, “You should go to bed. You look pretty bad,” not even looking directly at him. This was the worst state Jordan has seen Connor in and was actually genuinely worried about him. Connor simply shrugged, slightly annoying Jordan. Jordan sighed and then said, taking quite a lot of courage, seeing how much it meant to Connor, “Man, let it go. It’s nothing big,” causing Connor to now look at him, straight in the eyes with a reply, “She was everything to me, Jordan,” Jordan felt this was silly, I mean she wasn’t dead. It’s not Connor’s fault Francesca didn’t understand and then moved on to some other guy. He knew Connor loved her, but maybe she doesn’t anymore. He didn’t say, though. Instead, he threw the textbook beside Connor and said, “Give it to Derek, will you?” and left. He was so frustrated with how he was acting. Annoyed and not really sleepy anymore, Jordan decided to write to his father and tell him how things were going. Jordan usually remembered things like this at the oddest times, but he decided that since he wasn’t sleepy anymore, he might as well update his father on his studies. Even though, he’ll get what is expected. Only wearing slippers, Jordan felt lazy and just accio’d a pair of socks and pulled them on before slipping into his slippers again and then headed out for the owlery. Stuffing his hands into his pockets to keep them warm, Jordan pushed through the oak doors and followed the pathway, which wasn’t covered in snow, but saw a small figure up ahead. At first he couldn’t figure out if it was just snow, thanks to her white clothing, but then saw dark denim legs and brown hair. Approaching closer, Jordan saw that it was Ally. Smirking and wondering why the hell she was outside at this time and weather, Jordan walked up behind her, swiped her hat off and pulled it over his own head, plopped himself beside to where she was laying, and said, “Nice hat, Ally,” between shivers and chatering teeth.
