Smiling, his kissed his mother's cheek and waved farewell to his father. "Good bye." He said, and walked onto the train. Keeping his luggage firmly in his filled hands, he searched for an empty compartment. Ryan Marcoux was going into his lovely sixth year, not nervous for anything. Continuing to walk down the hall ways, he finally found one. Setting down a truck, he used that free head to slid open the compartment. Keeping it open with his foot, he picked up the bag and walked back in.
Dropping a bag down, he put his luggage up on the rack, then picked up the bag and placed it up there as well. He stretched and didn't bother to change into his robes. He would keep on his regular tee shirt, jeans and sneakers. Really? Who cares if a professor gave him detention. It was clothing, seriously. He sat on the seat, leaning his back on the wall which had the window on it. Then he brought up his legs and bent his knees, placing his feet on the seat.
He didn't care if some one came walking in like,'OHMYGODZ FEET ON THE SEAT! WE'RE DOOMED! NEVER!.'. That would actually make him laugh. And he was actually in a good mood because his parents hadn't actually fussed over his clothes this time.

[glow=purple,1,000] Leah gave her older brother a hug before gripping the cart holding her trunk. She smiled at him. "'Bye, Jason!" She said, before running head on into the wall between platform's 9 and 10. As always, she winced slightly just before she hit the wall, but again, just like every other time, she went right through it, coming out on platform 9¾. Gah. It always felt weird running through a wall like that. She had to say goodbye to her brother outside the platform, because he was a muggle. She frowned slightly, looking down at her trunk. She ran her fingers through her hair (recently dyed blonde), thinking. Then she remembered that technicly, she could use magic now. She slipped her wand out of the pocket of her old blue jeans and waved it at her giant trunk. She climbed onto the scarlett train then, her trunk floating along behind her. She looked for an empty compartment, but could only find compartments that were either full or had kids way younger then her. Finally she found a compartment with only one person in it, a good-looking boy that she was pretty sure was in her year. "Is this seat taken?" She asked him, gesturing to the seat next to him. "Err, well, taken by anyone other then your feet?" [/glow][/size]

Ryan looked up at the girl, oh blond. Blond hair wasn't his favorite thing, it reminded him of lemons. Lemon-head. He dared not to crack a smile at that. He took his feet off the seat and placed them on the floor lightly. "Feel free." He said softly. Ryan looked at the color of her eyes too, blue. He actually loved green eyes better. Oh well. He guessed she wasn't going to be a interest much. Friend, maybe.
"I'm Ryan Marcoux, Hufflepuff." He said, introducing him self. He wasn't a big polite gentlemen or anything. No holding out hands or bowing. Hearing the train engine start, then glanced out the window, seeing it move rather quickly now.

[glow=purple,1,000] Leah smiled at him. "Thanks." She said, levitating her trunk into the compartment, and laying it on the floor. She sat down next to him and kicked her trunk under the seat with her foot. She looked over at Ryan and smiled again. "I'm Leah Scott, Hufflepuff." She said. "Nice to meet you, Ryan. " She looked past him, out the window, but once or twice looked at him out of the corner of her eye. He was definatly good looking. No doubt about that. She had a thing for dark haired guys. But there was something about him that she wasn't really sure about. She didn't quite know how she felt about the boy. [/glow]

Ryan nodded, looking out the window now. He started to see rain hit the windows, making him roll his eyes. Sun was better then rain. Looking to Leah, he asked curiously,"You like rain?". Beaches, to him, were amazing. Winter was horrible, making him all pale and cold. He still had a slight tan from the nearly whole summer on the beach. Still having a fresh cut on his ankle and top of head from shells cutting him.
No, he didn't get that french accent from his hand, he got the English accent from his mum. He actually prefers the English, to him, the French accent seems a bit weird. Really, having a French accent and being surrounding by English ones would be a bit weird.

[glow=purple,1,000] Leah looked at the window again. She had been day-dreaming a moment before, and hadn't noticed the fat drops of rain hitting the window. She wrinkled her nose. "Oh, ew." She shook her head. "Not at all. I'd rather sun, thanks." She paused. "I can't stand snow, either. They're both freezing and wet and ugh." She put her feet on the seat in front of her and hugged her legs to her chest. "What about you?" She asked, although she could tell by his expression that he didn't like bad weather any more then she did. Leah's mum was Italian. And, although she spoke the language very well, she had a british accent.

He smiled slightly at her answer, this girl seemed alright so far. The blond hair and blue looking eyes were still a turn off to him. As he watched her curiously, was she scared or something? At her question he smirked, "Surfing in rain is horrible to me. It glasses out in the water but...no. It hurts when the rain hits you.But the shells cut you regularly. And the lightning, ugh. ".
Then he realized this girl probably didn't give a damn. Then he didn't give damn either. Then his big owl, André started to make sounds. He stood up on the seat looking at the owl.

[glow=purple,1,000] Leah rested her chin on her knees. God she was tired. She'd been up all night, packing her trunk and then un-packing and then packing it again, trying to get all her things to fit. She hadn't been able to use a spell, even though it would've made the whole process much easier. It was about five am when she'd finally found an arrangement that fit everything. She looked up at his owl. "You surf?" She asked. Then, her small tabby cat, Scrap, wandered into the compartment. He'd always been able to find Leah, The cat leaped up onto the seat next to her, and from there climbed onto her shoulder, which was one of his favorite spots. She smiled and stroked his furry head, looking up at Ryan again. [/glow]

"Yeah, before my mum and dad had me they moved by the shore. Loved it every since I realized I could actually go in it without drowning or getting sand in my eyes." He explained, giving Andre a treat. The large owl ate it quickly, then tucked his head under his wing. He looked down at her, frowning. He really hated cats, a lot.
He looked back up taking out a water bottle and poured some in the little attached bowl for the owl. Ryan obviously couldn't let the owl out now, they would get killed. Sitting back out, he leaned on the wall casually. Realizing the beating from the rain was getting extremely harder, the train came to a sudden, rude halt. He jerked forward a bit, but caught the window, so he didn't fall.
Standing up, he tried looking out the window. "What the fucking hell?" He murmured, not caring if she heard. Then he turned to face her, leaning on the window gently. Great. The train was probably freaking stuck here.

[glow=purple,1,000] Leah nodded. "Ohhh. So you live on a beach then?" She'd never been much of a swimmer. She perferred to have ground under her feet, thanks. She had grown up in London with her parents and brother, but her dad, herself and her brother had moved to a much smaller, quiter town after her mum had died. She noticed that he was frowning at her, then, and after a moments thinking, realized that it was probably Scrap. "Oh! Sorry," said, lifting up the cat and reaching down to lay him on the floor so that he could go explore the train or something. She noted the rain starting to fall harder. She had just lay Scrap on the floor when she felt the train jerk violently. She heard Scrap hiss and dart out of the compartment, and she herself pressed her foot against the opposite seat to keep from losing her balance. "What...?" She looked at Ryan for a moment before leaning out the door of the compartment and looking around the hallway. A lot of other students were doing the same. Apparently no one knew what was going on. Ryan nodded and said,"Yeah.". His brown eyes followed the cat, then standing up straight as the lights turned off. "Lumos." He murmured, rather quietly. "Well, This is fucking great. Next thing you know we're at going to blow up." He said and didn't even bother looking out of the compartment. Andre started to hoot loudly, making him climb up and open the cage.
Rather glad that he knew the owl wouldn't rip off his arm, he placed it on it, regretting getting the worlds biggest owl breed. Opening the window hurriedly, he held the owl out. It flew out gracefully into the rain and Ryan quickly closed the window.

[glow=purple,1,000] Leah took her own wand out of her jeans pocket and flicked it slightly, murmering "lumos". She held her wand above her head, casting the light around the whole compartment. "Tell me about it." She said, sliding the door closed and sitting back down in the seat. No need to hear all the talking and shouting from scared little first years. She looked up at him as he took his owl out, shivering slightly when he opened the window. It had been sunny when she'd left for Kings' Cross Station, so she'd only worn her old blue jeans and a white tank top. "That's a fucking giant owl." She commented, not sure what else to say. [/glow]

Ryan sat back down next to her, it was actually getting extremely hot in the compartment. Well, he actually liked the hot temperature, unlike some other people. He laughed at the owl thing and said,"Yeah.". He sighed and ran his hand through his hair,"This is bull shit.". Really? They had to get stuck in a compartment. Probably in the middle of no where.
He stretched and hit his head on the back of the seat. There wasn't even fire whiskey available. Unless he could buy it off of some on this train. That would be awesome. He looked to Leah and asked curiously.,"You drink?".

[glow=purple,1,000] Leah stood up and stepped past him, looking out the window. She paled slightly. Oh, god. The train had stopped on a thin bridge. "Shit..." she murmered. Heights were not her thing. She sat back down next to him and closed her eyes. "Remind me not to look out the window again, mmkay?" She said quietly. She opened her eyes and looked over at him, one eye-brow raised. "That's an odd question." she said. "But yes, I do. A little, anyway. Why?"

Ryan watched her get up. He smirked and said,"Why?". He was one of the people that could stand heights. He just didn't like riding on a broom. It was extremely weird feeling to sit on a flying stick. "Hm, don't know." He said with a careless shrug. He absolutely loved fire whiskey.
The train moved, then jerked extremely violently. It actually took him off his seat, slamming him into the seat across from him. "Damn!" He snapped, sitting back up.
