The lake, it’s black glass like water, her eyes watched it as Rodolphus threw a rock into it disturbing it’s peace. She slugged his arm as he walked back over.
“Bloody hell woman what was that for?” He said almost growling.
“It was for disturbing the water…I was watching it.” she almost hissed back he threw his hands in front of him as a ‘okay okay I give’ gesture. She moved her hair, the rain had made it fluff a bit, she had hoped that the humidity didn’t mess up her hair but alas, it did. The rain started again, little water droplets pounded into the glassy lake’s surface in a symphony of ringlets that now obscured her reflection in the water.
She really did love the rain, the way it was cold against her skin, the way it made the air smell after words, and the way it made the sky dark, she loved this kind of weather. She tilted her face to the sky as the rain fell, and bumped against her face, she let a feature that resembled the ever elusive Bellatrix smile, grace her face.
“I don’t think they are coming Bella.” Rodolphus spoke this caused her to snap out of her thoughts and glare at him.
“We will give them five minutes, and if they don’t show we will leave.” She spoke in a warning tone, even Rodolphus knew not to challenge her.
“Bella, can we at least find some kind of refuge from the rain?” Rabastan spoke looking at her cocking an eyebrow.
“I don’t care…why are you asking me, why don’t you just do it?” she smirked “Or do you want my approval?” she smirked and glanced over to the Lestrange Brother.
“I don’t want your approval Bellatrix…” Rabastan hissed and turn, this caused Bellatrix to laugh, she always did love ruffling feathers.
Rabastan had gone under the closest tree to stop from getting wet, Rodolphus was torn, he didn’t want to leave Bella, knowing full well that she wasn’t going to move from her spot, she was quite content on the rock she took residence on. He didn’t want to be drenched by the rain though, so he too join Rabastan under the tree.
“Bella you're going to catch death out there, what would you do then if you couldn’t go to the meetings.” At this she stood and stalked over to him catching him by the collar.
“You question my loyalty? In sickness I would still join him by his side…” She spoke dangerously, and let him go, she glared at him and he smiled catching her in an awkward hug.
“You aren’t going back into the rain until we are leaving.” Rodolphus spoke to her lightly at this she scoffed.
“You think so?” She tried to shove him away from her but the hug only got tighter.
“None of us want to deal with a sick Bellatrix..” Rabastan spoke this caused Bella to roll her eyes, and in one quick movement Rodolphus was on the ground her wand pointed down at him.
“Don’t hold me….and never against my will.” She spoke in a warning, but she didn’t go back to her rock instead she leaned against the tree trunk, This person was tardy, Bellatrix, loathed Tartiness, and she would express this fully when the person arrived, if they didn’t she would have wasted her own time….Nobody wasted Bellatrix’s time.

It was the rain that pulled Carissa out of the castle and out onto the grounds, making her wander for hours thinking to herself about the many things one could possibly ponder. She had ventured into the forest for the smell of trees and to visit the thestrals that often gathered in a certain clearing. Today they hadn’t been there so she found a way to bring them to her. She had taken out her silver dagger and sliced open her palm, letting the blood ooze out from the wound and across her hand. It stung quite a bit, but the fresh scent of blood brought them to her. Their pale white eyes staring at her in an unnerving way, but they were misunderstood creatures and she knew that they would not harm her.
Her time in the forest was long, she spent most of it aimlessly walking to different clearings and admiring the wildlife that she hadn’t cared to watch before. The other amount of time was spent finding her way back out, several times she turned around and walked back the way she came. Eventually she had found her way out.
Gliding across the grass with her cloak fluttering in the soft breeze, her eyes trained on the black glittering lake not to far off. The dark clouds above her swirled and seemed to lower threateningly each time she looked up to see them. A crack of thunder echoed across the ground, shaking the earth beneath her. The sensation was amazing and thrilling, but it quickly went away when she spotted to figured standing under a tree. Well one was currently sprawled on the ground looking completely pathetic.
A she drew closer she realized it was Bellatrix and Rodolphus, two people she saw often in the Slytherin common room. She changed her path of direction and instead headed for the tree. “Waiting for someone?” She asked in a casual voice, not really caring what sort of an answer she got. Once under the cover of leaves she pulled back her hood, though her hands were shoved in her pockets to keep warm. The cool air felt reliving against her flushed face, which was hot from being covered up for hours on end.Her eyes gazed down at Rodolphus and a tiny smirk pulled on her lip. “I can see who is the dominate one here.”

A new voice cut her out of her glaring at Rodolphus. “Does it matter if we are waiting for someone?” She replied coldly standing at full height as if she was trying to prove that she was important. She couldn’t help but smirk at the girls comment, it was true though, she did have certain powers over the Brothers, that set her apart from them, that could also be why she was one of the best Death Eaters.
“Oh Shut up.” Rodolphus said grabbing Bella’s wrist and twisting it behind her back as he stood to prove his dominance, Bellatrix didn’t like this to well and well, this left Roddy on the floor again in pain and her a few feet away to ensure he wouldn’t try to do that again.
“So what are you doing out here?” Bellatrix asked, though it was clear in her tone she really didn’t care.
“Is she the one we are waiting for?” Rabastan asked, Bellatrix let her eyes wander over and a smirk graced her lips.
“No it was a boy who spoke to me…” She spoke boredly and walked back over to the tree shoving Rabastan away so she could lean against it, this caused Rabastan to retaliate, a foolish move on his part, for he shoved her back. In the end he was a few feet away, after being hit with a nonverbal spell, Bellatrix had gotten quite good at those. Rodolphus stood up once more but kept his distance from Bellatrix. “Perhaps you’ve seen the boy? Tall, Slytherin, and I do believe a fifth year, getting on my nerves ever second he is late…Said his name was Chance…maybe…I don’t know, I’ve never been good with names.” that was a lie she was good with names if they meant something to her, or if she could use them later.

Her face didn’t become hostile or defensive at Bellatrix’s question, she was used to the way she acted. The two girls had never really talked, but they saw each other enough. “No, I was more or less assuming. I can’t see them enjoying the rain too much.” She gave a nod toward the two boys. She had never underestimated Bellatrix’s control over most of the Slytherins. It was obvious she could inflict fear over those who did not do what she wish, it was something Carissa admired greatly.
Watching Roddy stand up and twist back her arm made her brows raise. “Poor decision darling.” She spoke in a sweet mocking voice and watched him get flung to the ground. She tsked and shook her head. It was very amusing to see a very capable young man be toyed with by a woman. It was quite, as one could put it, empowering. “Oh, just wandering.” She noted the tone, not caring to elaborate on her little adventure. Though it did make her pull out her left hand to examine her wound. A soft disgusted noise came from her throat and she pulled out her wand and flicked it to get rid of the dry blood.
“I was right,” Her eyes sparkled when she looked up at Rabastan. She didn’t ask about who it was or what the purpose was for the meeting. Examining her nails, she listened to them talk. Her eyes flicked up to see Rabastan being flung to the ground. “Men never learn.” She muttered, a soft laugh passing her lips afterward. “I don’t generally care to pay attention.” She replied, but she did scrape her memory. “I don’t really know a Chance. But I have a slight idea of who you are talking about.” Her face screwed up in thought. “I saw a rather tall kid in the common room around noon, seemed to be in a hurry to get out if you asked me.” A smirk slipped onto her face. “Maybe he chickened out.” There was a hint of malice in her eyes as if she knew that when the boy showed up there would be hell to pay.

Oh so the boy decided he may chicken out, poor choice if you asked Bellatrix, she let out a inaudible sigh and pushed off against the tree. She made her way over to Carissa with a smirk, she caught her left wrist bringing it up she gave a mock pout and ran a finger lightly against the girls palm where the cut was. She then pushed the fabric away to expose a bare left arm, she made a light ‘tsk’ sound and ran her finger along where a dark mark should be, well it was Bellatrix’s belief that if you were pure and proud then you should join the Dark Lord’s ranks.
She looked up with a smirk. “something is missing.” she breathed lightly, she mouth still open as lightly ran her tongue along her teeth. She laughed and let the girls arm go, Bellatrix was known for playing with her food, and with emotions. She walked with almost a skip, “Well boys, and girl, It would appear our lovely Chance, has chickened out, and we all know what the punishment for that is…so Let’s go find.” her voice changed almost drastically into a mock baby voice. “The little itty bitty ickle Chicken.” She laughed then turned to Carissa, “I suppose if you had wanted to come I would let you.” she bit lightly on the inside of her cheek and turned to Roddy and Rabastan who stood there staring at her. “Well? Come on then.” she spoke and the two boys let out a sigh and started to walk after her, she turned to Carissa again.
“ Well Love are you coming?”

Carissa didn’t flinch when her arm was grabbed, she was used to being abused so a rough hold was nothing new. She watched her trace her cut, something she had meant to turn into a scar but the random pulsing it made was strange and addicting. “Wish there was something to show.” She breathed, when her sleeve was pushed up. If anything she was as devoted as any Death Eater out there, but not yet in their ranks. It was almost a pity, oh how she dreamt of being with them. A glint fell into her eyes, something gleaming with hunger. Someday she would and she’d prove to be worthy.
“Something is indeed.” She purred, her voice was low and she watched Bellatrix with almost clear admiration. Her arm fell to her side and she straightened her back, her eyes flicking to the boys who obviously were being a little thick tonight. At her words the sickly crawling feeling came over Carissa’s back, it was welcomed in most times when she felt her slight insanity being fed what it wanted. Her face lit up with the prospect of what could happen to the coward of a boy. Not many people lavished with the thought of another being tortured. Perhaps it was something she shared with Bellatrix Black. She heard stories, she had seen her father torture, she had been given his wand to do it as well, and she would admit to nothing more. Not unless you dug deep would you find the answers of her twisted mind.
“Of course,” Her voice was calm and disguised the excitement building up in the pit of her stomach. “He’s a coward,” She breathed, referring to Chance, who obviously failed to show up to such a lovely evening. With these words the disgusted tone was not covered up. She loathed anyone who thought themselves better than the Dark Lord, like he wasn’t the best. Perhaps it was a bit much, but Carissa didn’t notice nor did she care.

She turned on heel and yet again there was a skip in her step as she half sang “We’re going to find the chicken; and gonna teach him a lesson.” She seemed almost to happy to be doing this, many of people would agree, Bellatrix Black was bound to end up in Azkaban before she was twenty, She half agreed, but what most didn’t know was her lord was training her in the Dark arts, soon, she would be the best duelist in the wizarding world, well next to her lord.
Rodolphus and Rabastan followed keeping their eyes on Bellatrix, and then around the area, while Bellatrix wasn’t as paranoid, the brother’s were. Though in the coming years this would change, but that thought wasn’t even present in the young sadistic Bella’s mind. The rain had let up, this made Bella mock pout again. “Aw the rain went away.” She called but it was laced with a sadistic laugh, anyone who knew Bellatrix, knew that once she was promised a torture nothing could break her mood.
She loved torturing people, that is why she was respected amongst most Slytherins, she wasn’t scared to get dirty, and play unfair, she was right up there with Salazar Slytherin in being the closest definition of Slytherin. She almost tripped over a rock but she covered her folly with a skip, and a laugh.
“You have to admit, she is cute when she’s happy.” Rodolphus spoke with a smirk.
“more like deadly.” Rabastan whispered back, though it didn’t matter Bellatrix was ahead of them out of earshot.
“I think she is the closest definition of fatal attraction, but you must admit, she is gorgeous, and a good woman if you want to make other’s jealous.” Rodolphus chuckled.
“I wouldn’t do it, you’d be messing with the devil’s daughter.” he laughed back. But stopped as Bellatrix was in his face as he turned around, she had stopped to wait for them.
“Are you done talking about me?” she spoke with a smirk. “Let’s go you guys are so slow.” She sighed and a smile returned, this smile wasn’t one you’d want to see, this smile only proved something bad was going to happen to this poor boy named Chance.

There was a new spring in Carissa’s step, the pleasure of what was going to happen was rubbing off on her. She let out a cold laugh when Bellatrix called out that this poor boy wasn’t going to have a good night. Her wand twirled between her fingers and a grin spread across her face. The pounding in her chest quickened and her blue eyes went blank and cold. There was something about her that when the monster was let out, the emotions stopped working properly. Her eyes didn’t know what to show, so it obviously took on a look that could not be read.
Tilting her head back she looked up at the sky. It had in fact stopped raining. Her bottom lip went into a pout and she sighed. “Well damn.” She breathed and then shook her head to loosen her curls. She watched Bellatrix trip, but pretended not to notice. “Poor little baby isn’t going to have a very good night.” Her voice took on mock sympathy, bare audible as she was just getting used to this crowd. Though the way her lips curled showed she meant business. Most Slytherins wouldn’t glance twice at Carissa, which was fine. She’d show them eventually and she didn’t need their approval, she was seeking another’s.
“She is simply, how could one put this…” Carissa paused, her head cocked toward Rodolphus and Rabastan so they knew it was directed toward them. “Desirable and powerful, am I wrong?” She raised an eyebrow. The words didn’t seem strong enough, but they were the best she could come up with off the top of her head.
Unlike the boys, she had paid attention to her movements, almost too well. When Rabastan found himself face to face with the woman he had been talking about, Carissa was nearly standing beside her. Not close enough to where it would be invading her space, but just the right amount of distance was between them. Her lips formed a smirk when she looked at the two. She would do well to keep pace with Bella this time around.

Bella let out a laugh and turned around continuing on her mission to find this boy and show him wasting her time wasn’t a good thing, and then to chicken out was even worse. She flashed a smile to Carissa, and then shot a look to the boys who rushed to keep up with the excited Bellatrix.
“I think you’d be right in your words.” Rodolphus spoke looking to Carissa. Bellatrix perked an eyebrow.
“What words?” she asked, though it was more of a demand than a question.
Rabastan looked down, but smiled, patting Bella on the back as he sped up. She watched him do this and pouted, though this pout was considerably realistic. “What words?” she repeated, a smirk crept up. “I can make you tell me…” She said and the boys laughed.
“Desirable and Powerful.” Rodolphus said and looked to Bella, for he knew if she ‘made’ him talk she would ‘make’ him do more undesirable stuff, that he didn’t want to know about.
Bellatrix let a smile grace her lips and playfully clung to Rodolphus, “It’s to bad that she was the one who said those words, for I think I was finally falling for you Roddy-kins…but alas, you didn’t say them, Carissa did.” she said and let go of Rodolphus and then clinging on to Carissa. It was apparent she was doing this to get to Roddy, but she didn't know if it was working. “Thank you for your kind words darling.” she said in an almost realistic sweet voice, but everyone knew Bellatrix didn’t have a sweet voice. She planted a mocking kiss on Carissa’s lips and started to skip again, everyone knew Bellatrix played around like such, but she was one of the straightest people one could meet.

Carissa let out a tinkle of a laugh, she had a very good idea of what was going to happen to this Chance boy. In fact, she found it oddly humorous that his name was Chance. He had obviously blew his chance to make a good impression, as of now that word and name had no meaning to her.
She looked at Rodolphus and let a wicked smile spread across her face. Of course she was right. “I always am.” She purred and let her eyes flick to Bellatrix. There was no way what she said would be taken as an insult, as a girl who was rather vain, she understood that it would be a compliment.
Her head cocked as she watched Rabastan hurry away. “Aw, don’t trip.” She flicked her wand and saw him stumble. She giggled and looked away. “Only teasing.” She called lightly to him. Of course she would not do any serious damage, but him scurrying off made her want to see him fall flat on his face. It took a lot her restrain herself from doing so, a nice little trip brought enough amusement.
“Oh, nice words.” She looked at Rodolphus with sparkling eyes.
Carissa looked at Bellatrix with much amusement and let out a soft giggle, her eyes gazing over at Rodolphus as if taunting him. “Oh it is nothing.” She purred. The kiss that was given sent a strange wave a shivers all over her body, but she made no indication that it had any effect on her. Though, she did get the whole point of her motives. So, to just play along she sighed heavily. “So sweet,” She paused and tilted her head to she was speaking to Roddy. “Her lips, I mean.” She let a smile toy on her face. To her pleasure his face showed much more emotion than she had hoped for. Never in her life had she seen a man who looked as if he could murder someone in a jealous rage. “Now calm down, I’m sure you’ll find the right words to say…someday.” She skipped away and slowed to a walk near Bellatrix.

Bellatrix had to contain her laugher, that was the best playing with she had been in in a while, She could get use to this girl around, she gave her compliments, and played her games, she wouldn’t express her happiness, or her thoughts on having a new ‘friend’ that’s what they were called? Right? Bellatrix hadn’t quite had ‘Friends’ she had toys. But deep down she knew this girl wasn’t going to be a toy, so she would at least treat her with a little more respect. She eye'd Rabastan as he stood up with a snarl, she laughed and patted his back as she walked by.
“You know Roddy, I’m sure if you knew how to play a bit better, I wouldn’t have so much fun with it.” She laughed and turned looking at him she flashed a Black family smirk and blew a false kiss at him. “Maybe you’ll get a real one someday and you’ll know how ‘sweet’ I am.” she laughed and turned back around, she loved fueling fires, it made for interesting out comes. She knew Roddy wouldn’t hurt her, after all she was sure he wanted to get into her pants, so to speak, and if he hurt her then that would never happen and he might end up dead. Yes she knew she was the object of many men's dirty dreams, but it wasn't like she really cared, it wasn't like she was going to 'love' them back. Her true love was the Dark lord, but it didn't hurt to have Pure play things.
She looked to Carissa and ran her tongue along her teeth again and flashed a smirk. They were getting closer to the castle and she could see the doors now, not that they were hard to miss, but still. “I wonder where the Ickle Chicken is hiding.” she smirked and looked to the other three.

She kept her head bent to hide the obvious amusement that was etched on every surface, but it only took a moment to contain her emotions and bring her head up. She put on a mocking sad expression when she reached Rabastan. “I can’t believe you slipped on that wet grass, you’re such a clutz.” She ran her finger along his arm and shook her head. “Better be more careful next time,” She sighed. “That snarl was most unimpressive, you should practice that as well as walking.” She pranced ahead and let out another small laugh.
Her bottom lip formed a small pout when she glanced back at Roddy. “So sorry love.” She cooed. “Better luck next time.” The disappointment was not hiding well on his face. She wasn’t sure which was dominating, his desire to give Carissa a piece of his mind or to walk up to Bellatrix and plant a kiss on her lips. She hoped for the latter, just because it would be an interesting scene. Unfortunately he did neither and remained to be boring, so she turned away from him. Her fingers curled lightly around her wand, just in case he figured out what was more important. She wouldn’t want to embarrass him and she trusted that he was gentleman enough around pure-blood ladies to not attack her.
Carissa let a smirk fly across her face, but it was soon replaced by something smug and knowing. “I doubt he’d be in the common room, to easy. Unless he really is that thick.” She spoke calmly, but her was had a certain edge to it. She had a slight feeling that she and Bellatrix would be getting along fairly well from now on. There would be no more fighting the crowds to get a good look at her or staring when she walked by. All things one would expect from a boy, but she did it out of admiration and idolizing.
“Is that him?” She pointed at a nervous look boy scurrying into the Entrance Hall. “I dare say, he is a poor actor.”

She let her smirk drop and it was a now angry snarl, that was the boy alright, and he had the right idea for running, but Bella was quicker with magic, with a well place paralyzing spell and angry yell, the boy was going no were fast.
“OH CHANCEY-BOY!” she called, the tone in her voice was of pure anger and disgust. “I NEED TO TALK TO YOU!” Have you ever been yelled at by someone who was attempting to not let on they were angry so that had that sickly sweet ‘oh I’m going to be nice right now, but as soon as we get home your ass is grass’ well that was something close to what the poor Chance boy was hearing, a very pissed off Bellatrix, trying to make sure that the teachers didn’t come interfere.
“Why don’t we go up to the Common room and sit by the nice fire…and chat…or perhaps we can go chat by the lake, you know it’s stopped raining.” she spoke though the last bit seemed forced, she had made it over to the boy and grabbed his face with her hand, inspecting him with a snarl. “do you know what the punishment is for wasting my time?” she forced the boy’s head to shake no. “Oh? Well let me tell you doll.” She hissed in to his ear. “I’m sure you won’t like it.” She spoke getting oddly close to his face. “you’ve wasted an hour of my time, each minute you waste, you get to feel what it’s like to die.” she hissed into his ear, she was referring to her favorite curse that let you feel all the pain of death but didn’t kill you, unless she wanted it to. “Doesn’t that sound fun.” She forced his head to nod yes. “I thought so.” She smirked and looked to Roddy motioning for him to ‘help’ the boy follow them, “I think a nice walk around the lake will be fair.” she smiled and started to walk back towards the lake, there were so many witnesses in the school, out by the lake, only the water will know what she had planned. “There’s also a punishment for cowards….I’ll tell you that one once we get to the lake.” she smirked almost deviously.

Carissa watched with odd satisfaction. She twirled a strand of hair around her finger almost lovingly. She had a strange enough disposition that almost rivaled Bellatrix’s. “You shouldn’t run away so much,” Her voice dripped with sweetness and a smile was planted on her face. “They’ve been waiting you know, just to have a nice chat.”
She bounced on her feet and let out an excited giggle. She stepped forward and placed her heel on Chance’s hand and pressed a small amount of weight on it. “Bad move earlier, love, could’ve done yourself some good by showing up.” She leaned forward and whispered this in a much deadlier voice than before. Picking up her foot she smiled happily at the painful mark it had left. “I don’t like cowards.” She breathed and stepped back to stand beside Rodolphus who had a strange glint in his eye and cracked his knuckles loudly. “That is disgusting.” She spat, but his obvious behavior had her head spinning. Watching Bellatrix was terrifying and thrilling at the same time. Carissa wasn’t sure which was more, but either way she was enjoying herself.
Rodolphus stepped away from her and took Chance roughly by the back of the robes and hauled him off the ground. She walked forward slowly, tilting the boys head up with her finger. “Don’t worry, we’ll have so much fun.” She dragged her nail across his jaw and swiftly grabbed him by his hair and shoved him down the front steps. “Don’t try anything,” Her voice was barely about a whisper but it held venom that reminded her much of her father. She watched Rodolphus let go in time to not be carried down with the boy, but quickly picked him back up from the ground to drag him off. She skipped down the steps humming merrily, which stopped when she reached the grass. Rabastan was not too far behind her, which was good to know. At least she didn’t have to trip him this time. “You know, “she let out a sad little sigh. “I hate little pathetic boys.”

As the small group made their way to the lake, the anger that had once filled Bellatrix seemed like it was never there, she was skipping one again, and even turning around to taught the poor boy. Bellatrix had a way with fluidly changing emotions. “You know what I hate? Boy’s who can’t make up their minds, ‘yes I wanna join,’ he says, ‘no I’m not going to join and hide from sweet little Bella.’ he decides” Bella mocked a frown but then a snide smirk rose. “But you know that is okay, because I still have a present for you, think of it as a ‘thanks for playing’ prize.” she said coldly.
Her eyes were as cold as her voice, and her jaw clenched as she walked, if this boy believed in god, he had better start praying for when Bella and her lovely group were done, there would be no such thing as god to him. She moved with fluid movements, as if there was no ground beneath her, and the air around her was fatal.
The poor boy would think twice about wasting her time, and then being a cowardice little leech, well that was if he had any will to live once she was done with him.
They were nearing the lake, so Bella stopped looking at Rabastan. “You will stay here and keep watch…” she informed him, he was about to say something but decided to stay where Bella told him to. She turned to the other two and a cold smirk graced her lips and her eyebrow arched, “I hope you two didn’t break dear Ickle Chicken to much, it’s no fun playing with a broken toy.” she said her voice was colder then it should have been, though it was Bellatrix we are talking about.
